I have to say I'm not nuts about the trend, mostly because vampires tend to be over-romanticized (and/or over sexualized to the point of sleaziness) anymore. Moonlight comes to mind, and I only remember that show because my future father-in-law liked it. Why? Your guess is as good as mine, especially since he claims to hate everything (yet will sit around and watch it). Now if the darker/more morally dubious side of the vampire lifestyle emerges, I might be interested. In the meantime, I'm staying out of this until Priest can be added to my Netflix queue.
