Frankly, the emails and posts in support of the change far outweigh those against -- which is unusual because when people support a change, they have no reason to write in and say they support it; Doesn't that work the other way, too, though? I have to think, people who have loved the background color have never said anything because there was never any need to. I realize the decision has been made, and I understand that none of us can know what it's like, working with a black-and-white Writing.com, because we haven't gotten the chance to experience it. I just know that, no matter how much interest all the things in the community brings me, I won't be able to spend as much time looking at the computer screen, simply because it will be exhausting on my eyes and brain. Even if I haven't spent any time looking at a black-and-white Writing.com, I have spent a lot of time looking at a black-and-white Word processor, and I already know this is the case for me. It's just a part of why I do very little writing directly onto the computer. On that note, will all the black lines on the site still be black? Will the header at the top still present the gradient colors as they do? Will the colors still alternate on the Favorites list?
