I'm not sure I know what you're trying to do. First of all your wrong to say you're the only one who realizes that writing is a gift to reach others. I've known that a long time, and I'm sure we aren't the only two writers on this site to be insightful enough to know it. And everyone on this site is writing to share their talent, experience, and inspire others. So I wouldn't say that's nothing. It's great you're trying to do good, but don't minimize what others do. And you're right that even though we may be struggling there's always someone worse off. Even the homeless people getting a meal from a church or shelter may be better off than a homeless person in a disease infested country with no such program. But it wouldn't be right to make one feel bad because they don't have enough for themselves let alone helping others. But how would gift points help in any of this? Are you planning to help people with upgrades like these angel sites? If you plan on raising monetary funds from those that can afford to give, great. But stock piling points seems a waste if you're not planning to do anything with them. They could allow more people to share their gift and do more with words, use God's gift as you said before, rather than sit stagnant. If you really want to inspire the world to give and do good, it may be more productive to have writers donate words. Good luck.
