This subject can be challenging and yet so rewarding. It will need tons of research, though.
I think the year was 2000, I am not all that sure, I watched a play on Broadway called Copenhagen. It was about the nuclear physicists Niels Bohr and Werner Heisenberg's meeting in 1941.The subject was quantum physics and the history of science. The playwright possibly cleared the Axis scientists, suggesting their discovery of the bomb and keeping it secret from Hitler.
I heard of another good play with science in its core, Moving Bodies. It would be a good idea for those who want to enter the contest to take a look at these and similar scripts, if they can find access to them somehow.
