It's like in the movie A Few Good Men...the Marines did as they were told, giving the guy a Code Red. However, they were still found guilty and were discharged for following that order b/c it was morally wrong. Soldiers today are taught to question anything that would be morally unacceptable. In peacekeeping situations, there's not as much leeway for unexcusable actions on the part of anyone in command.
