Controversial Topic Discussion

It is very unfortunate that we have to talk discuss this topic with so much religious ideas involved. It is unfortunate because certain people's superstitions are impeding everyone to have a logical discussion of medical issues such as this, and this adverse situation is exactly what I see on this forum.


Why is it, that no one is attacking ppl's beliefs in a "soul"? Why is it that no one is attacking the belief that is a being is not created by God, then it's wrong? All these ideas are extremely superstitious, it is just as silly as saying "doctors shouldnt perform surgeries every other Saturday, because when the position of the moon is 63 degrees right of Venus, accidents are more likely to occur on earth"

No one is basing medical decisions on astrology anymore, so why are we basing our medical decisions on religion? I think if we could be able to discuss this topic rationally, we could also make a better judgment on this issue.
