Re: Re: Suggestions
Sounds great. I like the level of control you're exerting here - it's not excessive, or smothering, but I think it'll be conducive to a good campfire. Too many good ones fall apart due to bad management or non-committal owners...

Here's the first draft of my 'casefile'. Tell me whatcha think!

Casefile: Ralph Ryder

Date of Birth: The 17th day of the 5th month, 3rd year of the reign of King Riordan

Place of Birth: A large town called Hybernia, far to the north.

Current Occupation: Blacksmith/Armourer

Education: 4 years of higher education in the fields of Psychology and Philosophy. After failing to find a decent job, took a further 3 years of Metallurgy and Blacksmithing.

Talents: Decent at fighting with swords or axes, expert at repairing almost any weapon (renowned for making them better than they originally were), working knowledge of current psych theories, particularly psychological warfare and criminal profiling, which he always enjoyed the most.

Personality: Tends to overthink things, especially relationships with people (counters this with alcohol), has issues with authority (works for himself), tends to be loud - isn't afraid to speak his mind, or offend people, has a bawdy sense of humour, and general laid-back attitude to almost everything. Gruff persona belies a sensitive and intellectual side to him.

Teamwork: Doesn't work well with others, unless he feels rightly appreciated - expects payment for most of his services.

Other: Tends to show disrespect to those who seem less intelligent or experienced, regardless of their social status. Has a tendency to get into trouble, though is usually well-liked and even respected in most communities.

Photo: The picture showed a tall, bald man leaning against a frosted tree, seemingly oblivious to the fact that his portrait was being drawn. His muscular arms were folded across his broad chest, and his thick neck was twisting as he stared at a smouldering pit in the ground.

Physical Description: The epitome of a blacksmith - he's broad, muscular and tough, though his crystal-blue eyes hint a sharp intellect lies beneath the surface. His head and face are completely shaved, though his eyebrows are visibly reddish brown. He tends to wear a thick, brown, leather, double-sided blacksmith's apron, even when not on the job.
