I agree. One paragraph to give a general summary. No more than 5 or 6 sentences tops. I read once somewhere, can't remember if it was the net or a book, some paragraph summaries from well-known authors. Very short and concise. Wish I could remember where so you could see examples. Yours could start something like 'The book covers the life of a secret agent trying to balance his personal life with his professional one." Mention about intrigue and whatever else would justify what sort of genre it is. Anyways...why would they ask for your manuscript to read if you've just given them all the important aspects of the entire book? You just need to pique their interest.
