A sanctuary for weary writers, inky wretches, and aspiring professional novelists. |
Deb, its so nice to see you, again! Congrats on the promotion. I can relate to the loss of time for self, once you assume the 'boss' position. Back in '03, just before I caught that damn MRSA staph infection (while IN the hospital for minor knee surgery) I was running the largest national sole-source training program for the Dept of Justice and the new Office Homeland Security. My "leisure time" was often traveling on planes, trains, in hotel rooms, and on military bases. I wrote in whatever spare time I could find. While driving along interstates, I would dictate story notes into a micro-cassette recorder. At night, after finishing my day job tasks, I would type up my notes and write a few pages of my budding novel. Then, I would forward the story to a couple of people who served as 'ideal readers' for feedback. Jeeze, that seems like a million years ago. Anyway, the point is, please tell us youre still writing whenever time permits. Write, write, then write some more. The world needs writers like never before, ya' know. ;) I hope you'll stop in as often as time permits.
