Actually (for a change) I agree with the above. My response, and perhaps your interpretation of my response, came from misunderstanding of the question. I thought you meant whether it worked for the public at large, that is, whether it would sell, and how well it would sell. Or, rather, how well the audience likes it. What you say is true, but most people don't look at writing that way. I was thinking more in terms of writing well vs. writing so a buncha people buy your book. There are many notables who are more than adept at the objective craft of writing, but there are very few you will find on the current bestsellers lists.
