Writer's Fallout Shelter

I have to give the background info on her. She is 16 and has never had her parents involved in her life except to give her money and things. She longs for family. She is very serious wants to be a dr to help people and find cures for major deseases. She has one friend who is very superficial. She is not rude or mean or anything but she doesn't hang out with anyone but the one girl. Anyway she gets partnered with twins for a school project and their aunt at the same time becomes her housekeeper. The housekeeper before had been very brisk with her. Her new one is very loving. The twins become her friends and she falls for the boy.

Her one friend finds a way to make it look like the boy is cheating on her, partly because she is jealous that her friend has other friends. so when that happens she decides that she never should have gotten involved with anyone to begin with because it always leads to hurt.

There is a lot of other stuff going on, that is not the main plot of the story. But at this point I want to show her withdrawing from her housekeeper, Mandy and the other twin as her friend. I'm just not quite sure how to go about it.
