A sanctuary for weary writers, inky wretches, and aspiring professional novelists. |
Hello people, I've been with Writing.com for nearly a year and a half now. I'm fascinated with all aspects of art: Reading, writing, acting, painting, photographing, etc., etc. I'm an appreciator of the arts, one could say and as time passes I can certainly see how my skills as a writer have improved; as have my skills as a reader, and it becomes more and more evident that writing isn't just a hobby but it must be a passion. What I mean by this is, for your writing to mean something, in my opinion, it must be finished, and to finish a writing project requires time; an unseen, unknowable amount of it. I know for me, I can't say that I'll have this done on this date and that done on that date, it doesn't work like that for me, I must have time and a grand source of it. So it's become a passion in many forms. I thouroughly enjoy criticism, honestly I do, even negative criticism. How are you to ever improve if you cannot realize your own mistakes and weaknesses? You aren't, you must have this external force there to push you forward, and that is why I love criticism. Well, the fact that your work has made it beyond your own eyes is a great feeling as well, and probably plays second fiddle to the former. So please, those that have the will and the time to criticize my work, I'd greatly appreciate it. I'm working on becoming a productive member in the Writing.com society, and I'm hoping I'm well on my way, so if anyone would like me to review their work, please give me a link to it, and I'll do my best to get to it! I believe I will post three items from my profile:
