Most people seem to be saying that you have to write at least once a day to be a writer.
Personally, I disagree. Doesn't your commitment to the project outway how much time you spend on it. I go for days at a time without writing anything. Then something comes to me and I spend hours at my computer. Does that make my writing less real than someone who works on their piece everyday?
