An attempt to answer from a FA/voraphile
Well, let's see if I can answer you bit by bit...

>>>So...I'd like to know: Why is it that 9 out of 10 items in the erotica category deal with Shrinking/Growth/Weight Gain/Vore?

People like that sort of thing. Don't ask me why though. Ask 10 different people why they like such things, you'll get ten different answers.

>>>Is it something about Writing.com that attracts people interested in these kind of things?

Some people probably feel that this is one of the only places

>>>What's going on?

It's a conspiracy. Voraphiles are going to eat the world. (Just kidding, I don't really know what's going on.)

>>>Why do I never see this stuff anywhere else?

There are more of us than you think. And more websites as well.

>>>And why so much of it? I mean, almost all the Interactive Stories are exactly the same.

People like what they like. I am making an effort, at least with my stories, to add a little variety. I also moderate them to make sure that they're written well.

>>>By the by, I realize it probably isn't nice of me to call this stuff weird.

Not really. But I can ignore it.

>>>Don't be offended it's just a forum post.

No problem. I've heard worse.
