Very sorry that this has taken me some time to tackle. I'd like to be the devoted librarian I've characterized here, but I think that will have to wait for retirement. Anyway, I have had your questions on my mind. Directly after reading them, I began some research on-line. Rather than give complete, authoritative answers at this time, I will speculate some possible answers, then I'll have to continue that research to prove myself right. (Which, of course, means I'm admitting up-front the responses may not be right...ultimately).

Anyone else then wanting to jump into the discussion is welcome.

I will give each topic a separate post for clarity. So, look to the next post. I'm starting with the question of Arthur's relationship to Ygerna (Igraine) and how that relates to Morgan.
