Ok - my first shot at a contest. Hope we get some good creative short stories.    S H O R T ~ S T O R Y ~ C O N T E S T  DEADLINE EXTENDED UNTIL DECEMBER 21st !!!!!!! **We need MORE entries!!!** **please read post for details**  Prizes have INCREASED AGAIN !!! - see below ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** THE PROJECT Using a creative approach - tell the story of the Birth of Christ. Where and how you start the story is up to you. It should end shortly after His birth. Just remember the word limit is 2,500 words.  SUGGESTIONS:  - Tell the story from the viewpoint of Mary, or one of the wisemen, or Joseph. - Be an outside observer in Bethlehem and tell what you saw the night Christ was born - Put yourself into the scene and describe what you see - Interact with the people or just narrate it** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** THE GUIDELINES Please be truthful to the Gospels. Other than that - be creative !! ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** YOU DECIDE HOW TO WRITE IT !  RULES: - Short stories only please. - Please - do NOT rewrite the story of the birth of Christ, it does not need rewriting. Rather, retell the story as if the reader were learning about it for the first time. - No more than 2500 words total. (I am not going to count the words unless the item seems unusually long) - E ratings only! Anything else will be deleted. - Items must be posted in bitem format.
