Comic Novel Possibilities
by A Non-Existent User
Howdy folks!

I'm thinking about taking a stab at my first novel. However, I write the most dreaded of all literary genres: comedy.

So here's a quick question for you: Is anyone familiar with any comic novels that use high school as the primary setting? I understand that school is often a large factor in certain characters' lives. But I'm looking for a fictional novel that focuses almost completely on the school system.

Let's be honest; there are certain aspects of our schooling system that need to be made fun of. The different cliques, the underpaid "burnt out" teachers, overcrowded hallways, constant bomb threats, etc.

Come to think of it, I'd probably be interested in any piece of fiction that uses school as the primary setting. Let me know if you guys are familiar with anything.

I'm just wondering how original this idea really is. Thanks!
