Your Pet Did What???Tell Me, Tell Me!!

We bought 4 Emerald Catfish on the 8th May for my husband's birthday, along with the tank, other fish breeds etc. Less then a month later, the catfish spawned for the first time.

Now, four spawnings later, we have 33 babies (of 4 different ages).

Oh, dear. We were totally unprepared for all this. Thankfully we weren't, otherwise we might have had hundreds of babies, seeing as all but three of the first spawning were eaten by the Siamese Fighting Fish, Bluebeard. Only 2 made it from the next lot, one for the lot after that, but this time around - well, you do the math!

Now we've got to find homes for them as soon as they are big enough (we're in NZ, by the way, in case you were wanting some!).

"Gone Fishing" takes on a whole new meaning!
