The Rhymes You Hate

To my good friend Mike I say,
"Surely you can find a way,
To lighten up on my poor verse."
Oh s*%#, I think I'm getting worse.

Tell me this is not the worst you've had
to read, never mind, my bad...
I know it is awful, terrible rhyme,
But what the hey, I've got the time.

So Mike, thanks for joining in,
Our little group of poetic sin.
We'll do this all another day,
Now that we all know the way.
As long as I don't have to read your last reply again.
