I had a discussion with a really excellent writer the other day about the progression of our writing. she started writing erotica a long time ago, and has realized that her original stories were very tame considering what she writes today. in that time span she also gained a lot of sexual experience in real life. her stories are always one step beyond her own personal experiences. i have also personally found that my writing has reflected my experiences. i used to write about what i wanted to experience. but now that i have gotten so involved with things, i can't do that anymore. fantasies to me are something you hope for. but fantasies brought into reality never play out the same way. so in a sense if you attempt to plan out your fantasy too much, it doesn't come true. so i stopped writing fantasies. my writing now is frequently things that have actually happened. i have noticed (and people have commented) that it has a different quality to it now, more of a documentary, and not as much fantasy stuff. i was curious to know if others have experienced this sort of shift and change in their writing in relation to their real life experiences. just curious (as always, lol) ~Master Grayson's naughty wildcat Master's slave; Sir's toy http://www.sextoysex.com/naughtycat |
