Fibrmyalgia/chronic fatigue contest. And the winners are... |
May is… Fibromyalgia Awareness Month If you have fibromyalgia (and/or chronic fatigue), then this contest is for you! If you don’t, there is a contest for you. See:
Recently, I visited a site about fibromyalgia where the author wrote as if the fibro was a person who was her constant companion, not just a medical condition. At the time, I thought, “How creative.” It was! And now it’s your turn to be that creative. Pretend that fibromyalgia is your companion. A person who is traveling along life right beside you. (Pretend? It surely seems to me that fibro has a mind of its own! ) Describe your traveling companion, fibromyalgia, to us. Describe what your days and life are like with this ugly companion that won’t go away and will often not even be controlled. Here are the rules: You must have fibromyalgia and/or chronic fatigue. If you have fibromyalgia, then the title of your contest entry should be, “Hi, My Name is Fibro…Fibromyalgia.” If you have “only” been diagnosed with chronic fatigue, you’re still welcome to enter. Your title should be, “Hi, My Name is Fatigue…Chronic Fatigue.” Write as if you ARE fibromyalgia or chronic fatigue, living and traveling life with your companion, the writer of WDC. Write between 500 and 1,500 words. Please, nothing above 13+. Enter your response below in the bitem format. Deadline is midnight, May 31, 2007. Winners will be announced by June 21, 2007. Oh, you want to know about prizes? Well of course. Everyone who enters and follows the rules will receive 100 gift points just for entering (and following the rules). First place: 50,000 gift points, plus an awardicon Second place: 25,000 gift points Third place: 10,000 gift points My hubby – Incurable Romantic – will help judge. Donations are certainly welcome. (But not by contest participants.) Here is the link to a writing similar to what I'm seeking. DO NO COPY! Just read. http://www.fms-help.com/mnif.htm And the winners are.... First place - Vivian Second place - PurplePassion Third place - Being Diane Thanks to everyone who entered and who visited. We will offer another contest later. We really must keep these topics in front of the public. Perhaps someday folks will stop saying, "But you don't look sick..." |
