I have written some or all of my novels but have decided to add passkeys. I this still possible?

Greets,

You can edit an item and open the "Advanced" section to add a passkey in the "Allow Access Override via PassKey:" section. Remember that you must set the item's main access restriction to Private, and then the PassKey allows override access to that privacy setting.

Hope this helps,

Yes, go to the main editing screen for the item (gear icon, upper right, "Edit Item") and scroll down to the Advanced settings. Click on that to open several options, including creating a passkey. Then be sure to save the change by clicking on one of the green buttons at the bottom of that page.

Also, be sure you also have your Access Restrictions set the way you want them; the Passkey is only necessary for those who would not ordinarily have access to the item based on the Access Restrictions. For example, if you have it set to "Registered Authors and higher" only, a Registered User (gray case) or a non-member would need the passkey to see the item; registered authors, Preferred, Mods, etc. would still be able to access it.
