Say...does anyone have any quotes they think are trite or terrible? I could use some inspiration in order to refresh
If you do have a quote, please indicate who said it (or at least who it's most often attributed to). Fish Stik 2 |
These are bad bits of movie dialogue: “Do you know what happens to a toad when it’s struck by lightning? The same thing that happens to everything else.” (Storm, played by Halle Berry, X-Men, 2000) “I don’t like sand. It’s coarse, and rough, and irritating, and it gets everywhere.” (Anakin Skywalker, played by Hayden Christiansen, Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones, 2002) "You're like my own personal brand of heroin." (Edward Cullen, played by Robert Pattison, Twilight, ?who cares?) "I didn't hit her! I did not. I did not! Oh, hi, Mark." (Tommy, played by Tommy Wiseau, The Room, 2003) "I'm just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her." (Anne, played by Julia Roberts, Notting Hill, 1999) That last one might be personal, but every time I've seen the film, it makes me want to throw up in my mouth a little. Anyway, there's 5 movie quotes I truly dislike. |
Some of these are a bit long for the activity, but the third and fifth examples definitely have potential for creative riffing. ![]() Stikabet |
Not sure what phrases you've used before, but here are a few suggestions, fwtw. I did NOT have (sexual relations) with that (woman) Bill C (Workers) of the world, (unite) ! Karl Marx "I have nothing to (offer) but (blood, toil, tears and sweat)" Winston Churchill |
I made a small tweak to the last quote you provided, but I am using one of your suggestions. ![]() Stikabet |
