Ok, so that's perhaps 2 different things. First: ... is that somehow you've set your startup or home page in Chrome to be your Writing.Com portfolio. If you'd like to change that, I think you need to go into Google Chrome's setting and change that. I've included a screenshot from my Chrome settings with my best guess and what you need to change. Again, that's a guess as I don't typically provide tech support on browser settings or setup. I have mine set to open a new page. You may have yours set to "Pick up where you left off". Again, that's my best guess. Secondly and separately... If you don't want the items in your portfolio to appear to the public (which is the default) you need to go in and edit each item to set the restrictions to require a person be logged in. That would be part of the "Access Restrictions" on each item in your portfolio. Click the gear icon on the item, then the "Edit Item" and then look for "Access Restrictions". Set that to whatever you'd prefer ... be it that you require an user be logged in to see the items... or set the "Private For My Eyes Only" so that noone else but you can see them and only when logged into the account. Lastly... Note that closing your browser does NOT log you out. If you want to LOG OUT, you need to click the "Logout" link. That's in the upper right corner of each page when you're on a desktop/laptop. Hope this helps! ~~SM A Few Helpful Tips... If your problem is with an item, please include its Item ID! New member?
