Introduction] What makes a hero? Dieing a pubic death? Marching off to war? Witnessing a crime? Or is it just finding the strength to be yourself? High school seniors Brianna, Sam, Peter, and Summer are soon to find out. In a town that is looking for a hero it is hard to come of age. With many young people marching off to war, the local mayor killed in a highly political murder trial, and the only witness a rather eccentric, over dramatic English teacher. Each student also faces there individual traumas. Brianna, the shockingly cynical realist of the group is realizing life is not what she had planned. She is just trying to get normal again after best friend and on-again-off again boyfriend Peter drops out of high school due to the fact that he is soon to become a father. Callus and seemingly uncaring Sam who never had the best home life hasn't herd from her sister Sara who is an army cook overseas in several months. And Summer Snow, most popular girl in school, and daughter of late town mayor joins the colorful group of outcasts looking for a dark side of life. She is soon to discover that it is only an illusion and that she has more in common with these so called outcasts than she'd like to believe. The one thing they all have in common is there quest to make things normal again, but they are soon to learn that sometimes you must accept a new normal. Will they find a Hero? Will they improve the situation? Or will they realize that there is already a hero in everyone? |
