A group of struggling teens find eachother and gain new hope.
[Introduction]
When a group of teens who are struggling to deal with their complicated lives find one another, they gain new hope that maybe things will be okay after all.

This campfire will contain 6 characters, 3 male and 3 female. Try not to have large age gaps. I'm giving a limit for the ages of 15 to 17.

Swearing is allowed, but please don't over-do it. Same goes with the drama. Fighting is also allowed, but obviously no killing. Along with romance; definately allowed. And I gave this an 18+ rating, so you can be graphic but please not TOO graphic.

Other then that and following the bio block below and having five days to make your addition...have fun!!!

She has her lip pierced on the right side with a small, thick hoop, and her ears pierced. She's 5'4", thin and curvy. A wild sort of beauty, some people say she's "punk" but she doesn't believe in labels.

Name: Conor Ohia

Age: 17

Sex: Male

Personality: Conor is very friendly, but he never speaks unless spoken to. Although he's friends with just about everyone, he finds it hard to open up and talk to someone. He's a listener, not a talker. He expresses himself by writing music and lyrics with his guitar or piano. He'll love anyone who gives him a chance (boy or girl). He'll ditch them without a single problem, but if they dump him he never forgets.

Appearance: Tall, dark and handsome applies to Conor. He has black hair that hangs into his face, hiding his extremely blue eyes. He's thin and what you can see of his face is very gaunt. He's lean and it makes his clothes look too baggy.

Clothes: He shops only at thrift stores and wears what everyone calls 'old people' clothes. Wears really beat out sweaters that are wearing too thin. Brown pants that are a little too short, and he's always wearing his Converse hightops, even if they are falling apart.

Conor know's he'll never have to work if he doesn't want to because of his father's wealth. Conor's father is never a father and doesn't see that Conor is falling apart with depression and also his own drug problem.

Background: Conor never really had anyone. Even his friends weren't that close to him, but he struggled by on his own. Now he's getting older its becoming harder to cope, so he finds his guitar, drugs, and alcohol are the only way.

[fade-plz tell if its my turn!] Some younger character's wouldn't be too bad!
Name: Jamari Brosseau

Age: 17

Sex: FEMALE

Personality: In short, jamari belives no one can hold a flame to her beauty. She believes that she perfection defined and she acts that way at all times. A sweetheart to her friends; a menace to anyone else. She has a short temper and an even shorter attention span, unless it's directly about her of course.

Family: They say everything that glitters isn't gold. This can be said of Jamari's family. jamari's family consists of her mother and father, a younger sister, Sennett and an older brother, Turiau. Her mother came from old money, so she was accustomed to having her needs and wants met. What she wasn't accustomed to is raising a family. Neither Jamari nor her siblings have a relationship with their mother nor father. Their dad is a senior VP with a marketing company that only sees his children if he runs into them around their home. This in turn took the most toll on Jamari. That's why she as the attitude she lets everyone perceive.

Background: She is in a battle within herself to control the inner demons dwelling within. The fight between the person she makes everyone believe she is and the person who wishes to just be loved by her parents.
Name: Donnie Nomaserik

Age: 16

Personality: There's no telling what turn Donnie's mood will take. Half the time he is happy, content, outgoing, and the next he is shy, quiet and introverted. His mood swing is not so serious that it could be called bi-polarism, but however he feels, he is sarcastic, silly, witty and thoughtful.

Appearance: (This is a pic I took of a friend of mine and how I envision Donnie.)

http://www.deviantart.com/view/17556376/

Donnie is most certainly handsome, but doesn't really see himself as anything special. He has a nice body, but isn't a freak about keeping himself in shape. He's got short, dark brown hair that sticks up all over and light green eyes. Donnie's nipples are pierced and he has a tattoo of a pairr of smiley face on the pulse of his wrist.

He doesn't want to feel this way, but he does, and he can't accept it. He was found in his room when he was fourteen getting, well, "close" to another boy by his father, and his dad has never treated him the same since, saying that he hates "faggots". Donnie often finds himself having meaningless sex with anonymous women and, although he tries not to, doing drugs.
Sloane

"Hey, you wouldn't happen to have a smoke, would you?" Sloane asked the manager of her building. She lived in a large apartment complex, gates out front and a wide curving road leading up to the front. She was on her way back inside when she had passed the manager, who was a grumpy old man going bald. He huffed at her.

"Hmph, shouldn't be smokin' those cancer sticks. Yer too young ta be doin' that," the manger continued mumbling as he left the building. He often called cigarettes cancer sticks or death sticks, and Sloane had only managed to bum one off him once.

Sloane sighed and shrugged. There was a man on the third floor that was always happy to give her a smoke, she was get one from him if he was on his way out.

Luckily, he was. He was a tall man in his late 40's, not too badly built. He had a goatee and a scratchy voice, and always had a pack of cigarettes on him.

"Hey Boomer, got a death stick?" Sloane asked him as he approached. He gave one his bark like laughs and fished in his pocket.

"Been talkin to that old fogey of a manager, eh?" Boomer laughed again in that bark-like way and handed her a smoke.

"Yep. Thanks. Wouldn't happen to have a light, would you?" Sloane asked.

"Anything for you, doll." Boomer said, also fishing a small green lighter out of his pocket and lighting it, holding it out for Sloane. She places the cigarette in her mouth and leaned forward, putting it into the flame and lighting it. She looked casual as she did it, as if she had done it hundreds of times before.

"Thanks Boomer," Sloane said as she let the smoke stream out of her mouth as they went down in the elevator together.

Boomer left the apartment and Sloane went to stand outside the doors to have her smoke. She was wearing her plain navy blue t-shirt with a longer white shirt underneath, and her black dickies capris. Her black and white converse shoes were laced on her feet and her makeup was done in black, white and blue. She played with her silver lip ring in between puffs and watched the stormy sky above her.

He's a rebel but knows how far to push the limits without hurting anyone. Fun, interesting and intelligent but one of those people who you never see an end of because there's always another corner with him.

Appearence: Tall and good looking but in an odd way. His hair is like flaxon gold with little red streaks (which he is quite fond of) and his eyes, intense green Often he has an expressionless face but this is a sign of deep and more introverted thought though when he smiles it is probably the most cheeky expression you can find, lighting up his face and eyes. His father then became steadily more and more abusive towards his family, this along with the fact that Kai came out to his mother about being bisexual ended up with his mother walking out and leaving her husband and son behind. Since then he's become focused on his art and living life until he breaks.

Anna's misty eyes scanned the row of pictures, trying to decide on a suitable tatoo. The curled dragon? Or maybe the dark cross with a bold red line through it? Finally she pointed at the black eye with the flames rising up behind, a skull just visible in the depths of the pupil, and settled down in the chair, giving the artist full access to her back where the tatoo was to be done. She had been at this salon since 9:00 last night and wasn't planning to leave until about 4:00am in about two hours. She had had her nose pierced and her ears each done three times, after this tatoo she was going to get her tummy button done and maybe her tongue or nipple if she was feeling adventurous. The tatoo artist was fussing behind her but she shut out the sound prefering instead to tap her knuckles to th sound of rock music coming from the salon's small radio at the back of the room, her white shirt lay across the table beside her and she was starting to get a little cold.

"What are we waiting for? Next christmas?" she complained

"All right love, calm down, it's a tricky business innit,"

Anna heard the artist move in behind her and closed her eyes, she was used to pain.

Conor

"Conor, can you get me a glass?" His father was shouting from the office just down the hall from his room. Rolling his eyes, Conor fell out of bed, still clad in only his boxers and marched down the hallway. Stratching his skinny stomach he called out, "Want the bottle too?"

"Don't be a wise-ass. Just get me a damn glass!" The voice rang down the hallway, lingering like a bad smell. Conor did as he was told, stopping for a second to look at himself in the bathroom mirror. The circles around his eyes were getting darker, so he pushed his bangs over his eyes. Go figure, he thought.

"And hurry up! I have a meeting in two hours." The voice followed him down the spiral staircase and across the white tile floor. Why was it that his voice seemed louder in the kitchen then up in the hallway?

With one glance at the clock, he sighed. Slept in, yet again. What did it matter anyways? Math wasn't his thing. And science? When was he ever going to use that again? Gym class was a joke. He couldn't run, not with lungs as black as his from his bad habit; smoking Cloves atleast four times a day.

He took the glass up to his father and noticed the SUV keys sitting on the corner of the desk. For just a second he leaned over, pretending to care about what his father was working on, then slipping the keys into his waist band of his boxers. Conor dressed quick, brushing his teeth as he pulled on his socks, then rushed outside.

Rushing over to the SUV, Conor checked to see if his father's spare key was still under the exhaust pipe. Putting it from its safe spot he launched both sets of keys onto a bush, before grabbing his long board from the side of the house. He coasted down the road with his guitar strapped to his back and a cigarette hanging from his lips.
Her now hazel eyes stared into the eyes of her reflection as she studied her face in the mirror. She ran a hand through her hair allowing it to rest over one of her eyes. She smiled before spinning around, walking towards her closet. Swinging the door open, her manicured nails traced along fabrics as she pulled out a halter top and low rise flares by Dolce and Gabanna. Slipping on her clothes she walked to the full length mirror for a final lookover before slipping on knee length Gucci boots and walked down stairs. Sennett and Turiau were already in the kitchen preparing to leave for school.
"Netta, Riau, Good morrow," said Jamari grabbing an apple from the fruit basket. Sennett stared at her older sister.
"Mari, what is so wonderful about today?" she asked, "You are not usually in such a "chipper" mood." Jamari spun around and flashed a bright smile. Before she could answer her mother entered into the kitchen. Jamari's smile slowly faded. Their mother slightly waved to her kids is she opened the refridgerator pulling out a bottle of mineral water. Jamari rolled her eyes at the woman. Sennett skipped up to her. "Mom? Are you still able to come to my practice today?" The woman made a face and stared at Sennett. "Outside? In the open weather? Sennett, Sennett, why would you ask a question such as that?" Their mom walked upstairs. Jamari swung open the door to leavel. "Pathetic excuse for a mother."
Donnie

"...and that's how it happened. Pretty weird, huh? Donnie? Donnie!!" Suzie Brinkman would not shut up. Donnie wasn't even pretending to listen, but still, her mouth kept moving. In a desperate attempt to keep himself from actually soaking in some of what she might say, Donnie had furiously scanned the food court in front of him for something to concentrate on. His eyes finally spotted and latched onto a trash can that was brimming with garbage. He watched with a strange curiosity as person after person tried to add their own refuse to the pile, carefully balancing their empty paper plates and utensils, not caring that the more they added, the more that fell out. “You’re not even listening to me!” Suzie suddenly shouted.

“Yeah, sorry, I was looking at that trash can over there,” Donnie told her. She looked hurt, and it sort of made Donnie feel good. He wasn’t trying to be mean, but couldn’t she tell that the last thing Donnie wanted to do while he was trapped behind a counter serving annoying business men and women their lunch was listen to one of her inane stories that always ended with “Pretty weird, huh?”

“Fuck you, Donnie, you stupid fag.” The insult had been pulled off the top of her head. It was a stab in the dark, but it hit home, and Donnie winced at the word as Suzie retreated toward the other side of their work area. Honestly though, it was a ten by five foot booth, did she really expect to get away from him?

It wasn’t until four hours later that Donnie and Suzie were allowed to leave work. In the time following her outburst, Suzie slowly simmered down and acted now as if nothing at all had happened.

“You wanna go see a movie?” She asked.

“Not really, I need to go pick my brother up from school.” It was sort of creepy that Suzie actually wanted to hang out with Donnie on their off time, she was, like, thirty.

“That reminds me,” Suzie stopped walking, but Donnie kept heading toward the parking garage. Suzie ran to keep up. “How come you work here sometimes when you should be in school?”

“I just need the money.” He really didn’t feel like talking. He suddenly felt as if talking to Suzie anymore would somehow be harmful to him. It didn’t make sense, but it’s just how he felt. As she continued to speak, Donnie continued to block her out. Soon though, Suzie turned and went on her own way leaving Donnie in peace. Stepping into his car, he shut the door and locked it, finally feeling secure. He placed his head in his hands and sat for a moment in silence. After a minute or two, Donnie absentmindedly reached into his glove box and pulled out his pipe and a dime bag. He started to pack a bowl, and then stopped just as suddenly. “No,” he told himself, “I gotta pick up Brandon and I’m not gonna fuck it up.” He put the pipe and the plastic baggie away for now. He knew he would return to it before the day was over.
Sloane

Sloane put out her cigarette as a light rain started. She took another look up at the sky before heading back inside and up to the sixth floor.

When Sloane entered her apartment and kicked off her shoes, she could hear her parents moving around getting ready for another night out. She walked past their bedroom on the way to her own and saw her mother wearing a slutty black dress and smearing bright red lipstick on as she leaned over in front of the mirror.

"It's raining." Sloane informed her carelessly.

"That's nice, dear." Her mother, Faye, replied. She hadn't even heard what Sloane had said.

As Sloane moved past her room, her dad came out of the living room in a tux. She didn't bother asking where they were going, but instead headed into her own room.

The smoke hadn't done her justice. All she wanted now was another smoke. But that always happened after she talked to her parents, even for the shorted amount of time. Sloane sighed and abandoned the idea of staying inside, heading back to the door and putting her shoes back on. She threw on one of her sweaters that was hanging on the post, a small, well-fitting hoodie. It might get a little uncomfortable in the rain, but at least she wouldn't get too cold. She headed out the door, not bothering to say goodbye to her parents.

By the time she got back down to the lobby, it had really started to pour.
The rain was something he loved. The way it washed all the dirt and filth from the roads and tracks. The way it ran down his face like icy fingers. It's touch. It's clensing beauty. Lingering on the side of the road, black trench coat blowing slightly about him, he watched as the rest of his school departed. Jen Jen had not been in a good mood all day, her tears staining what had been an alright few hours. Now he would wait from his best friend and find out exactly what it was that was bothering her. With a sigh he pushed his hair from his eyes, their wet rings falling back nto place unbidden. Where was she?

Behind his battered up toyota pulled up another car. He recognised the driver from somewhere... School? But no if it was then surely he would hve been in today... then again maybe not... After all, Kai knew that he himself rarely came everyday... His attention now diverted, he watched the figure in the car. Wondering how he recognised the face. Probably nothing... Probably just his imagination but for some reason he knew that it couldn't be true.

"KAI OSUNEKO!" Jen Jen had emerged from the crowds and was calling at him, running all the time, across the road. The call had made the strange person in the car look up, notice him. He deffinately recognised him... Kai passed a smile his way before being barreled into by Jen. She was crying again. The rain covering up her face.

"Come on let's go." He said gently, steering her gently to the passenger seat and helping her in. Where she just sat, curled into herself.

As he climbed into his own seat she looked at him, perfect face framed by her sodden brown hair. She tried a weak watery smile before chocking on another sob, "What's wrong Jen?"

"Jakob wants to take a break!" she wailed, "And I don't want to go home... And I didn't see Anna in school today and... and..."

"Do you want to go see her?" Kai asked, finally turning the key in the ignition. Glancing up into the mirror he saw that the stranger was collecting someone too, he knew the kid atleast, that was Brandon. The only kid younger than him that seemed to be any good at arguing back. Frowning he pulled out of the parking space, still focusing on the face of the other boy. He hated not knowing things...

"Can we go see her? Please?"

"Of course."

Anna was an old friend of Jen's, one that he ahd always felt comfortable with so he didn't mind taking his distressed friend to see her...

Anna was woken from sleep by her mobile going, the annoying sounds of the crazy frog ringing out from somewhere on the floor near her bed. She stuck out her hand, scrabbling around trying to find the phone and finally her fingers closed around the still vibrating nokia.

"Hello?" she mumbled

"Hello," came back a crisp voice

"Who is this?" she asked Anna, she was still tired from last night, she'd got back from the studio at about 6:00 and crawled straight into bed.

"This is Clarissa Mills, from the Outback centre!"

Neither name meant anything to Anna who silently cursed Clarissa Mills, whoever she was and Outback centre, whatever that was.

"Can I help you?" replied Anna moodily

"You have won our weekly grand prize draw, you could recieve 100 pounds in gift vouchers, a summer holiday in Peru or a new Jaguar!" purred the woman on the other end of the phone.

Anna couldn't believe it, "Fuck Off!" she screamed down the phone before throwing it across the room, they'd woken her up for this? She'd only got into bed about 3 hours ago! She could still hear Clarissa Mills babbling down the phone, apparently the abuse it had taken had not caused the connection to break. Anna pulled herself out of bed, going through to the kitchen and putting on the kettle, throwing a teabag into last nights cup and rumaged around in her tiny fridge trying to find some milk that hadn't gone past it's sell by date.

A few minutes later Anna was back in bed with a steaming mug of tea and her book, she needed to be at the climbing walls at 1:00 but until then she had some time to kill.

Unknown to Anna two men were asking downstairs where an Annionet Van Winderswept could be found, and they didn't look all that friendly.

Conor

It was raining so hard now that he could hear it pounding on the cars outside, even over the music in the cafe. A waitress, small and delicate, with beautiful thin lips walked over to him and asked, "Is everything okay?" For a moment he wanted to toss his coffee mug across the table and screaming "I'm not okay, don't you see?!" But instead he sat back, casually, with his cup and hand and smiled.

"Yeah, everything's fine. Thanks." She poured a little more coffee into his mug before winking at him and turning away.

Suddenly the room became too small. All the voices and the music seemed too loud. His pen seemed to keep falling out of his hand. He had to leave, right then and there.

Hiding from the rain, under the cafe's canopy, Conor smoked a cigarette quick. He took long inhales and short exhales. His long board was rested up beside the wall, getting damp from the drops that splashed off the pavement back at him.

He wondered if his father would be home. If he was, he would have furious about the car keys, but Conor didn't care.

He had nothing left to do, no where to go, and no company, so, he decided to head home. The rain wasn't slowing down and he was sure it wouldn't. Grabbing his long board he skated out onto the road, the rain beating down so hard on him each drop seemed to sting.

A car slowed up beside Conor and the window rolled down. A guy leaned toward the passanger side window and said, "Hey. You need a ride?"
She rumbled through her glove compartment until she found a small dark colored bag. Her eyes scanned across it as she ran a nail across its contents.

"If Turiau has done it before, it can't be that bad, right?" After considering it, she finally threw it back in its original place, leaning back in the driver's seat. The rain poured down heavily while she sat in the parking lot of wherever she was. She grabbed at the bag again, this time opening and retrieving a small rolled cigarette. She lit the cigarette and pulled from it deeply, closing her eyes. She immediately opened them as she coughed harshly feelings as she was about to choke. laughing at herself she continued to smoke. Throwing the small piece she had left out of the window she turned the ignition on and pulled out of the parking lot. AS she drove along the street she noticed this guy pulled over in a car speaking to someone on a skateboard.

"Oh god... I'm already high and now they have the street blocked. Damn if it wasn't raining I would get out and ask them what their problem was?" jamari laid her head against the wheel, accidently blowing her horn. Yelling loudly she leaned against her seat then burst out into a fit of laughter for scaring herself crazy.
Donnie smiled at Brandon as he climbed into the car. It was raining outside, and the moisture dropped randomly from the kid's unruly brown hair down onto his shoulders. He was frowning slightly and looked a little angry.

"What's got you so pissed?" Donnie asked him. Brandon just shook his head and rolled his eyes.

"Just some stupid kid I have a class with," Brandon told him, "he won't stop being a dick towards me."

Donnie turned to his brother and, in all seriousness, asked him, "do you need me to kill someone?"

"Shut up!" Brandon laughed, pushing Donnie. "You always do that!" Donnie put the car in drive and started to pull away from the curb, but stopped for a moment.

"Hey, B, do you know who that is?" He pointed toward the person who he had met eyes with, they looked so familiar. Brandon looked up from the text book he had pulled out of his bag.

"Yeah," he said, looking back at his book, "that's Kai Osuneko, he's one grade above me. Why?"

"I think I know him from somewhere."

"Do you?" Brandon asked.

"Well, I don't know, that's why I said I think I know him froms somewhere, not I do know him from somewhere."

"Geez, I'm sorry," Brandon crossed his arms over his chest, and there was suddenly tension in the air.

Finally pulling away from the curb and away from the school, Donnie asked, "so, do you need me to kill anyone or not?"

---------------------------

Donnie had dropped Brandon off at home and immediately left, he did not feel like going in there and dealing with the bullshit. He had nothing to do, so he just drove.

It was one of those dark, depressing days he loved so much. The rain seemed like it would fall forever, and the sky would never clear up. There weren't many people on the streets, but the ones he did see were trying desperately to stay dry. Suddenly, Donnie began to feel lonely. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw someone skating on the side of the road. They looked to be about his age, and didn't look too threatening. Should he...? His car was slowing down and his window was unrolling before he even realized it. He leaned over and spoke out the window. "Hey. You need a ride?"

"Um, I... sure." They said. Donnie unlocked the door and the person stepped in. "Sorry about getting your car all wet." He said.

"Have you see my car?" Donnie asked, "a little water isn't going to hurt it. I'm Donnie, by the way."

"Conner." He said. "Thanks for the ride, I really didn't feel like staying out there for much longer in that rain."

"Yeah, I could kind of tell," Donnie smiled. "You looked sort of miserable."

"I was just dreading having to go home." Conor spun the wheel on his board.

"I know exactly how you feel," Donnie told him. There was a silence throughout the car that was not by any means uncomfortable. It was a silence of mutual agreement. "So," Donnie said, "where do you want to go?"
Sloane

Sloane was walking past the road when she noticed a car stopped. There was another car stuck behind it, and she could see the young driver of the second car looked a little agitated at being stuck behind this person. Shaking her wet hair from her eyes, Sloane walked up to the drivers side of the first vehicle and knocked on the window. It was steamed so she couldn't see the driver until they rolled down the window.

She was greeted but a young man's face, a teenager. She guessed he was roughly 16 or so, not much older then her. He gave her a questioning look as she crouched down in the rain, water dripping from her. She dug her hands into her pockets.

"I think you're holding up traffic." Sloane grinned at the boy, and gestured with her head towards the girl in the car behind him. He looked back too and realized that he had, in fact, blocked this person from passing him. He looked back at Sloane, but she had already started to walk away. She hadn't stopped for conversation, meerly to tell the guy he was holding someone up.

Sloane got back onto the sidewalk and tilted her head up towards the sky as the rain poured down and soaked her to the bone. She loved days this this, they were her absolute favorite. She walked on.

"I think you're holding up traffic," A girl told Donnie. Conor looked around. The car was beat up. He picked at the tear in the seat cover. It felt wierd being in a car like that. If only his father could see him now.

"Should I ask her if she needs a ride?" Donnie looked nervously out the window at the girl, who seemed to be enjoying the rain. Conor wanted to say 'no'. He wanted all the attention to be on him. He wanted to keep this stranger all for himself, but he knew, if it were the other way around he would have been thankful for the invitation to stay dry.

"You should offer her a ride. There's bands playing at The Hall if you want to go, maybe you can ask her if she does too," Conor told Donnie. He was hesistant to tell Donnie that he was supposed to be playing that night with his band. He definitely wanted them to come out though. It was always nice to see new faces at the tiny shows. It gave Conor stage fright, but he took that as a good sign. He'd never had a reason to be nervous before.
Jamari lit up another small blunt as she leaned back in her seat, eyeing the girl walkings towards the car in front of her. Afterwards both the girl and driver looked back at Jamari before the girl walked off. Jamari tilted her head sideways when the driver looked at her as if to make him hurry up and pull off. After several minutes the car was still sitting there and she became pissed.

"What the hell I look gorgeous wet anyways." She took another pull from her blunt and placed it in the ashtray before opening her door. As the rain hit her skin it sent a small jolt through her body as she stepped out of the car. The rain immediately soaked her clothes and her waist length tresses became saturated with water almost immediately after she stepped into the rain and was plastered against her body. She walked to the car and knocked on the driver's window. Not waiting for him to let it down she spoke in a very loud voice, "Is there a problem here! Can I GET you to move this...." she lightly touched the car with her fingertips, "monstrousity of a vehicle? gracious! This piece of shit is surely not the only thing on the road!" She folded her arms and was about to walk back to her own car until she caught sight of her reflection in the window. A small smirk came across her face as she noticed how her hair was stuck against her body, the way the water rolled off her light almond skin. She returned her attention to the annoying people driving the car and waited for them to roll down the window.
Donnie was still looking at Conor when the tap on his window made him jump. He turned toward the window and watched, quite amused, as the person, whomever it was, shouted at him through the glass. He could not make out, due to the distortion of the rain streaking down the window, who it was. Their shouts were muffled by the obstruction between them, so he could not really understand what they were saying.

Finally it seemed they were done yelling and Donnie, still laughing slightly, rolled down his window. His smile slipped off his face completely as he locked eyes with the striking woman standing before him. Her mouth, which she had opened obviously intending to do some more yelling, closed slowly in small incraments.

"Would you, er, mind moving your car?" She asked, suddenly much sweeter than she had been moments before. Donnie could have cared less about what she was saying, he was imaging what he could be doing to her: ravishing her body, making this woman his.

"Uh, sure," he finally said.

"Are you gonna get that girl?" Conor asked suddenly. Donnie had actually forgotten that he was in the car, and his voice made Donnie jump for the second time in the last five minutes.

"What girl?" Donnie asked, and Conor pointed to the first girl that had come knocking on his window.

"Oh, yeah..."
Sloane

The car Sloane has just spoken to drove slowly up along side her, and the passenger side window opened. The drive, whom she had spoken to, leaned over the guy in the passenger seat and spoke to her.

"Hey..er..do you need a ride?"

Sloane look over at him but continued walking. She smiled, rain dripping off her hair and rolling down her face.

"You're in for a wet car," she said. The boy in the passenger seat was looking at her with striking blue eyes that were barely visible through his dark hair. The driver smiled.

"That's okay. We're going to The Hall, there's some bands playing there. Want to tag along?"

Without another word, Sloane held her face up towards the sky for her last bit of rain and then slid into the back of the boys now stopped car. She shook her wet hair from her eyes and crossed her legs on the seat. It squeaked oddly from her wet clothes and shoes.

"Well when you put that way, how can I resist?" she said. "I'm Sloane."

Sloane held out her hand for them to shake.

"Donnie." As he spoke, he glanced out the back window of the car instead of looking at Sloane. She glanced behind her too.

"Got a hot date in there?" She joke. It was the car of the girl who had been waiting impatiently behind them when Sloane has first spoken to the boy.

"Wha-?" Donnie said, looking back at her. "Oh," he said and turned back to face the front, moving the car again.

"And who's this?" Sloane asked the other boy.

"I'm Conor," he said, shaking her hand too. She smiled at him.

That smile light up Conor's dark day. It was hard for him to believe. He let go of her hand quickly, afraid that if he didn't do it right than he might never. He turned to look out the window, almost completely losing himself in thought as they drove toward The Hall.

The Hall was just outside of downtown in the back of a old library, turned into a cafe. It was called the Hallway, because it was long and narrow. But since not many kids ever showed up it was never a problem. Walking inside, Conor tried to avoid the guys standing by the stage, his band. Sloane and Donnie stood beside him, looking calm and content. Conor was panicking. He didn't let it show though. That wasn't something he did often.

"You guys wanna get high?" Conor blurted out. Forget testing the water. He needed to do something to relax. Donnie looked at him, trying to figure out if he was serious, or maybe he was just nervous. Conor didn't know. He was about to head for the door when someone said, "Conor, dude. Where the hell have you been?"

"I got caught in the rain," he stammered.

"You look dry to me." It was Bill. A huge, scruffy guy; Conor's drummer. Bill looked over at Sloane and winked. Conor moved between Bill's view of Sloane and said, "They gave me a drive. We'll be right back." And before anyone could say anything else, Conor ushered Donnie and Sloane outside to the shelter. They stood, watching the rain. Pulling out a pipe and some pot, Conor asked again, "Anyone?"
Yawning deeply she entered through the French doors of her home. Peeling the wet clothes from her body as she walked Jamari threw the clothes into the laundry area. Walking into the kitchen she retrieved an apple from the fruit basket and headed upstairs towards her room. She turned on the water in her private bathroom and pulled a terry cloth robe from her dresser. Retrieving a bottle of Frederic Fekkai body wash from her dresser she stepped into the shower, spreading the wash all over her body. While bathing she did not hear Sennett enter her room. Sennett laid across her sister's tall four post bed and flipped through a copy of Cosmopolitian, waiting on her to finish. Jamari turned off her water and slipped into her robe. Opening the door towards her bedroom she placed her hands on her hips, a look of playful annoyance on her face.

"Netta.. is there something you need or want, darling." she asked, grabbing a brush and sending it through her hair. Sennett stood and walked to her sister's vanity table as Jamari noticed what she wore. Her jet black hair was pulled into a low ponytail secured with a furry scrunci. She wore a black and pink screened "Pussy Killz" t-shirt with a screened pink kitten holding a gun. Her drawstringed pants were covered with pink writing and her boots had a stiletto heel. Jamari laughed out loud.

"Sennett! Do we have a date tonight? Where are you going?" Sennett picked up a tube of M.A.C. lipglass and placed some on her lips.

"No big sis... you and I are going somewhere. You have an hour to get dressed. Don't go too flashly. Think of.. Gwen Stefani and Xtina with a hint of Ciara." Sennett walked towards her sister and kissed her on the cheek before leaving out of her room. Jamari stood there, still brushing her hair and she shook her head, walking towards her closet.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

"Where are the gracious are we, Sennett?" Jamari asked looking around at where they were. Sennett smiled as she shut off the engine.

"Turiau said he has been out here before along with his friend Joaquin," answered Sennett. She stepped from the door and waited on Jamari to do the same. As Jamari closed the cardoor she stared at what should have been a library. Jamari shot a glance at Sennett.

"Netta! Where the hell are we doing here?" Sennett shook her head, beckoning to Jamari to come here. "What is this place Netta."

"Mari.. it's a small club in the back. The Hall or something like that. Little local bands come and play. Hey maybe you should sing." Jamari laughed at Sennett's statement.

"Let's just go in; the rain must be soaking your brain." Jamari loooked down at her attire and was thankful that she chose such. Even though it was still raining a little bit it tended to become pretty warm. Her hair was pulled bone straight and hung in sheets around her body. She wore D & G shades across her face. She had dug up a tank top cropped just beneath her breast with "Honey dipped" screened across the front and back in black and brown. Her micro mini skirt barely covered over her onion curved bottom; it had a black and white pattern and was paired with a silver belly chain with words "Diamond Doll" written on a charm. She completed the ensemble with knee high stiletto heeled boots with diamonds crusted around the ankle of the boots. They walked towards the entrance of the place as Jamari's eyes glanced at the three standing at the door. One looked real familiar in particular> As Jamari became closer to him she remembered; it was the guy that was in front of her earlier today. At the door, Jamari stared into the boy's eyes as she spoke, her glossy lips shimmering under the dim light at the door.

"Hey there. Glad to see you under better circumstances instead of you holding up the entire driveway." She flashed a smile at him before letting down the umbrella, preparing to walk into the cafe.
Sloane

Pulling out a pipe and some pot, Conor asked again, "Anyone?"

"No thanks." Sloane said, turning slightly towards Conor and away from Donnie, to give Donnie and the girl some privacy to chat. Donnie, however, didn't seem to know what to say, and Sloane thought it best if he only embarrassed himself in front of one girl. He might have a heart attack if it were more.

Conor seemed a little embarrassed, and Sloane noticed his hand shaking slightly as he prepared the pipe.

"You always get high before you play a gig?" Sloane asked casually, leaning against the wall of the building, standing close to Conor.

"I..what?"

Sloane waited till he finished exhaling the smoke.

"You're playing tonight. Do you always get high before you do?"

"I...um..." Conor's gaunt face was turning slightly pink, and he wasn't looking at her. "It helps with the nerves," he shrugged. Sloane nodded, watching him. "How did you know I was playing tonight?" He asked suddenly. Sloane smiled.

"It wasn't exactly subtle. Big band guy, asking where the hell you've been; musicians hands." Sloane nodded towards his hands, which were still holding the pipe.

At this, Conor chose to take another hoot instead of say anything. Sloane looked round at Donnie, who was no longer in the presence of the girl. He looked slightly dumbstruck.

"I knew you had a hot date." Sloane said. Donnie looked at her quickly, and then looked away from her just as fast. He dug his hands in his pockets and the group stood outside the building for a while in silence, while Conor finished his pipe.

Conor finished his bowl, then a cigarette before asking them if they wanted to go back inside. The first act had already finished. It was a small girl with her guitar. Conor knew her, so walked over to apologise for missing her set. Just then his band pulled him away from Donnie and Sloane. He looked at them helplessly, hoping they would rescue him.

"What's with you, man? You're still on edge?" His bassist looked him over, trying to understand.

"I just want to play," he lied.

"Is it a girl?"

"No."

"Then what is it?" The whole band was getting on his case as he wrapped his guitar strapped across his chest.

"It a girl." His drummer laughed, patting his back.

Groaning and taking the stage, Conor muttered, "Not exactly." The band laughed together, as if they knew what was going on. They never knew what was going on. They could read it, play it, sing it, but they would never understand.

The microphone crackled as he put his lips against it, "Hey everyone..." The first chord was played and finally, he felt at ease.
She leaned against the wall, her eyes staring at her younger sister dancing slowly against some random guy. Jamari shook her head. She never would have thought that Sennett would behave in such a manner; gyrating against men and such. It wasn’t that she didn’t like to dance, but look her attire. Any seductive movement will give more that just a pleasurable feeling. She played with the charm hanging on her belt until her sister came over to where she was.

“Jamari… you should go talk to the manager about singing one night. You have a lovely voice. Plus, you need to get off this damned wall and have FUN!” exclaimed Sennett. Jamari smiled at her, looking over the rim of her shades.

“Netta…number one, I don’t sing anymore; it’s a waste of my time. Secondly, I will dance when I am ready to.” Sennett coiled her lips into a soft smirk as she spun facing away from her sister.

“OK Mari.. have it your way. I will just dance with that little cutie you were speaking to in the doorway. Bye!” Jamari’s eyes flew wide as she peeled herself quickly from the wall, yelling at her sister to come back. As she searched around Jamari could not find her.
She had better not do that to me I will knock her—Jamari paused for a moment. Why was she reacting that way towards a perfect stranger, someone she had only met a few hours earlier? What in the world is wrong with me? Why am I reacting so about HIM? I am Jamari Brousseau! Not an average person like these around here! I was bred to date models, not …… Her thoughts were interrupted. She saw the boy she met earlier near the exit of the club and she saw her sister nearing him. Jamari pushed and slid her way through the crowd, trying to make it to him before Sennett does.

Sloane

Sloane stood in the crowd as she watched Conor begin to play, and noticed the change in him immediately. The corner of her mouth twitched into a half smile as she watched him perform, awestruck. She turned and looked at Donnie, and noticed the girl they had seen earlier talking to him. Sloane smiled and took a few steps away, further into the crowd and a little closer to the stage.

Once surrounded by fellow dancers, Sloane let loose and moved flawlessly with the rhythem of the band. She watched Conor playing as she danced, smiling to herself as she took in his odd, almost old-person-like clothes. She liked them. It was different, and she liked that. He was different.

A boy came up and started to dance behind her, his hands on her hips. She closed her eyes and let the music surround her, continuing to dance. She had never before heard music this great. She would have to praise Conor for it as soon as he was done.
Kai generally was not a wild club guy. He did not like them so much these days. But Jen had heard there was a good party here and she also mentioned that Anna may be there seeing as she had not opened her door. Half wondering why she was so desperate to see the other girl he entered the pack of chaos. He felt his blood warm in his veins. Something about this place was buzzing and it assed straight through. Bedraggled but happy people filled the area. The sweet scent of smoke seemed to leak into his nose on a breath air, only just there.

Was that...? No.... He was imagining things again. He could have swo.n he had just seen the stranger from earlier, the familiar youth whom he had never spoken to... from his knowlegde... With a half smile he turned to tlak to Jen. But she w as lost in the crowd,

Conor was standing on stage with his guitar in his hands. He liked to treat his guitar with gentle strokes yet rough enough that it would make sound. Those first few notes were always the hardest he seemed to find but once he had started he just went along with the flow and the music seemed to almost take a mind of its own and play itself as if he had no control over it whatsoever. As he was on stage playing he scanned the crowd and he found his eyes connected wtih Sloane's. He smiled as he felt a sudden lurch in his stomache. His solo piece was coming up soon. The band always liked what he did just before the coda of the piece and believed that it created great atmosphere for him to play it solo. Conor always wondered about this and was always worried about what would happen if he stuffed up, but it seemed that he was able to carry the tune by himself quite effectively until the other instruments joined in again.
Sloane

Sloane's eyes shone when she saw Conor start his solo. She watched in amazement at his skill with the guitar, how it seemed to be part of him. She danced to his music as if she was also part of them. She grinned to herself as she watched him play, his hands moving effortlessly along the neck of the guitar, his fingers plucking skillfuly at the strings. She noticed that in her mind, she had been thinking of the guy she was dancing so fiercly against as being Conor.

She danced even fiercer.

A while later, Conor had finished his set. In the absense of the music, the guy she had been dancing with disappeared and Sloane headed off to where the band was getting off stage. She stood waiting to praise Conor while he spoke to one of the guys, and while she stood there with her wet sweater in one hand and her damp t-shirt clinging to her body, the drummer of Conor's band came up to her.

"How'd you enjoy it?" He grinned at her.

"Awesome," Sloane grinned back. "I loved it."

"I could tell; the way you were dancing out there.." the drummer eyed Sloane up and down, and put his hand out to touch her waist. "Aren't you a wet one," he winked at her and moved a little closer. Sloane raised an eyebrow at him and looked over his shoulder to see Conor walking over to them, watching.
Sighing deeply, she ran a hand over her face, relieved that her sister relinquish her previous aspirations to contact the guy and made her back back to her previous date. Jamari squeezed through the crowd, making sure not to bump into anyone until she reached a little corner. Leaning against the wal, she began to hum to herself as she noticed the guy again.

'And I do not even know his name.' she thought to herself as she rocked slowly to the music, her own song forming in her head. Her eyes glanced over him, noticing his appearance. Shaggy hair waved around his face and eyes of a light green. He had a small, lithe figure, but one she could deal with. He wasn't freakishly small, but a nice looking size. Pursing her lips a little, she raised in eyebrow.

'I wonder what type of person he is. I see he likes music, but what else.'

She leaned her body from the wall as she began to dance with hersef to the music. Might as hell have fun while I am here. She waved her hands above her head as she moved her body slowly, but in sync to the music. A tallish, ok-looking guy came in front of her, mimicking her dance moves. Laughing she began to dance wiht him, all the while her eyes still search for the guy in the car until the object of her infatuation and her own eyes met. Not blinking at all, she nodded her head in a way to say "Come here. --(that is to Donnie)

Conor did not like the way that Max was holding Sloane, but surely if she had something against it she would have done something about it. He headed straight for his bag which was left back stage to grab some water and relax a little. He always built up a bit of a sweat playing the guitar. Sipping on his bottle of water he continued watching the scene between these two people wondering what was to happen next.
Sloane

More music started up and as it did, Max proceeded to move closer to Sloane, the hand placed on her waist suddenly pulling her into him. Not exactly being tall, the drummer seemed to tower over her threateningly. As the rhythm started, Max started grinding into Sloane. As she danced with him uncomfortably, she caught the look on Conor's face over Max's shoulder. Was that...jealousy she was seeing? Whatever it was, the look was gone a moment later as Conor caught her eye.

'Help!' Sloane mouthed to Conor, hoping he would get the hint that she did not want to be dancing with this musclehead. Apparently getting the hint, Conor suddenly appeared at their side.

"Mind if I cut in?" Conor asked, not a hint of awkwardness in his voice.
"Hey man, we're kind of busy here if you don't mind. You understand," Max said gruffly, turning with Sloane as they danced as if to pull her away from Conor.
"Yea man, and you'll understand that I would like to cut in. So go get a drink or something." Conor said. Max stopped and stared at him.
"Yea, okay man, cool it. Whatever." Max put his hands up in surrender and walked away. Sloane and Conor stood there a little awkwardly, looking at eachother.

"Thanks for that." Sloane said.
"Yea, no problem. He has a tendency to be a bit of a creep sometimes. Don't mind him." Conor shrugged.
"Yea...so what are you doing after the show?" Sloane asked.
Conor shrugged again. "Want to get high?"
Sloane looked at him curiously.
"Er, I'm burning out. I thought maybe you'd like to join me this time."
"Yea, sure." Sloane said. At this, the two of them headed to the exit of the Hall and into the alley, where the rain has turned into a slight drizzle that was refreshing after the hot, humid air inside.

"So, do you play anything else?" Sloane asked as the two of them leaned against the side of the building and took turns taking hoots from Conor's pipe. He slowly exhaled the smoke from his longs before he answered, as if stalling.
"Piano," he muttered.
"Yea? That's pretty cool. You're amazing at guitar, I'd like to hear you."
"Really?" Conor asked, shifting his eyes to look at Sloane as she inhaled from his pipe, though not turning his head. She handed it back to him and nodded her head, holding the smoke in her lungs.
"What about you, you do anything worth knowing?" Conor asked.
Sloane snorted and coughed, hastily getting the smoke out of her lungs.
"Ow," she said pathetically, holding her chest and coughing.
"Sorry." Conor said hurridly, thinking himself a fool. Sloane spoke through her coughs.
"No no, it's okay, it's just funny. I don't do anything worth knowing, that's all."
"Come on, everyone does something interesting."
Sloane shrugged.
"I guess I'm a nobody," she said. Conor stared at her, holding the empty pipe, his eyes bloodshot.
"Don't say that," he said. Sloane stared back at him.
"Okay." She said after a pause. Simple as that.
