````*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*````
Mountains stood high as the sun silently rose over their snowy summits. Raven Lorelei looked up to them in futile sight and spoke with distress. Spirits of sun and earth, moon and star. Why am I cursed. This plight, yes a given, is something I must take to my death. The sin I am condemned to, why, mother, why. Are you even there! Are you! Of course you are not, I don't have one. I am a no one. You damn Spirits, look what you did to me, look. Am I to be an Apocalyptic sacrifice. What do you bloody want with me. Her thoughts wondered into that of the wind.
Elysian The wind spoke to her.
"Who!!"
Bliss, two spirits in which... The whispy trails of the harmonic statement trailed of with the uncomming conflict of another stream of wind. The darkness in which she swam, seemed to consume her. Her large peridots know glared motionless at the crater lakes of the mounts.
Bliss and Elysian, who the hell?
Elysian was in the Ballroom now. As he entered the room all attention turned to him, all dancing ceased, all talking stopped, and everyone waited attentively for what he would say.
“Hello.” Elysian answered shyly. Before he could finish everyone returned to what they were doing. Elysian went and took a seat beside his father King Galvan. Galvan was pleased to see that his son finally made it and on this, his 16th birthday he was also eager to introduce his son’s bride.
“Attention everyone.” As he stood the room fell into an immediate silence. “Elysian my son, my youngest boy is now 16. It is my great pleasure to introduce to you all and especially Elysian The Princess of The kingdom Florien on the other side of the Great seas, Princess Leanne.” Out of the shadow stepped a woman covered with a heavy veil. “But before I do I would like to give you, Elysian a gift.” His father continued. “This was a gift you mother, god rest her soul, wanted you to get on this day, your 16th birthday.”
A look of shock came over Elysian’s face.
“M…my mother. Can it be?”
“Yes son, here it is.” The Galvan said as in his outstretched hands Elysian glimpsed the hilt of a sword. “Don’t be shy boy take the sword so we can get on with the party.” His father smiled. “Now back to your bride, you my show your face now.”
It was if time had slowed down as the princess lifted her veil. A great look of surprises and confusion came over the crowd and Elysian after it was removed.
“That’s not possible…it couldn’t be. Could it? Celica is that you.
The girl looked at him sadly. Now he was sure that same sad face it was Celica. His father the girl’s name was Leanne, but this was Celica before him. He could not understand.
Bliss ran more for what the fire had showed her was too sad, and she could not be sad. She decided she would run till she was happy. Run till she could run no more.
Beads of dew hung on her silver hair. The water formed crystals glistened in the light of the Day Star. As her head turned, drops of dew dripped from her ashen tipped lashes. Darkness, again. She sat up, and rubbed in the dew that had fallen on her hair. She closed her eyes and listened to the restless wind, longing for her to hear it's wispy call.
I summon you to call. To the far lands of Gala, a kingdom's ball. A prince new age, he cometh today. A chance for you to enlighten your ways. At this place, I seldom tell, you will stop grace, and break all hell. With the last few letters of her statement trailing of into the bitter finish of the wind.
A ball, She thought. Break all hell, I guess that's my invatation to go crash it I guess. Her head turned to direction of her vague memory of Gala. Her destination set.
Thistle patted Cottonweed, her horse, gently outside the inn. "Well done!" she said, leading her into the stable out of the cold. "It was a hard day.You'll get rest and fresh hay here and I'll bring some apples later."
Cottonweed nudged her softly and began munching on hay in a thoughtful manner.
Thistle laughed and patted her once more before going into the inn.
In the shadows of Gala lived forces the Kingdom did its best to hide. Pure evil was all you found here and a great hated for the kingdom and its citizens alike. In the confines of its peoples master was a man the named Syrian, but he was commonly known as the Dark Demon. He was a well-built man whose eyes were a dark red. His hair was black with red tint and he had an earring in one of his ears. He reeked havoc throughout the city and stole anything he felt he wanted or just for fun if he wished. The prince’s party was greatly on his mind and he would of much liked to given the prince a gift.
“It’s a pity that I got no invitation,” He said to his followers, “but no matter we will drop in for a bit and give it to him then, I hear he will meet his bride today. If she is exquisite I think we should take her of the hands of the prince. One of his age cannot truly understand or appreciate the true powers or the true gifts of a woman.”
“And you do sir?” Joked one of the men standing in the front.
“Of course he does.” Joked another.
“Of course I do. Since I was a boy I have been trained and tutored so I can become the ruler of Gala and the other kingdoms. I am 20 now and an fully prepared to ascend to the throne, and no one shall stand in my way.” He answered triumphantly.
“We well drink to that.” They all laughed.
The rays of the sun faded and were reborn in the dazzling rays of the full moon. The day was slowly slipping to night and the true festivities were about to begin.
(Dandariel, nice to see you in me sis' campfire.)
The backdrop of the noon sun began to trace heavily in her darkness. Gala lost nation, evident to The Apocalyps, irrelevant to this world, useless. She pulled her golden scythe and stroked its gleaming silver blade. I better be on my way
`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*
Elysian looked at Celica with surprised and speechless eyes. Celica looked down at the finely polished marble with distressed eyes, trying furiously not to cry, while King Galvan starred at both with flustered and impatient sight. "Ok, you two, dance, talk, do something." Both teens looked at the King, one with regret, the other with questionable gestures. The 16 year old prince looked up at his to be bride and extended his right hand, a gesture for a waltz. Before Celica could place her hand in his, Raven made an exquisite entrance. Glass and gold bits flew around her as she stood in a serene state before the scared onlookers. Before anyone could move, the silver blade of her scythe glared in the sunlight. Most of the prominent women fainted as her she motioned the scythe around as if to find something. The figure of a charging soldiers bgan to trace in her constant darkness. With a quick and sharp turn of her body and a slashing strike of her weapon, the warrior fell lifeless and bloody unto the glazed surface of the ballroom floor. Elysian looked on awestrucked as Celica stood beside him, as surprised as him.
Women held their dresses down and men kept their cleanly put her from getting messed up, as a strong draft of wind blew through the broken window. Again a voice began to speak with the hallow tendencies of the breeze.
My child, I say unto you. The one to whom I spoke of, is before you, true. Ye, knoweth know, must followeth be, to decipher the truths of your mangled destinies. You may not comprehend what doth now sayeth, but in time though shall see, ye memory.
Which one, oh spirits, to whom do you refer. Darkness overwhelmed, hence thy cannot confirm.
The wind began to blow again, Though knowest when feeleth, thy power is true, he will knowet two.
Yes, I will fight till though finds, my Spirits. And the last wispy trails of the winds "yes my" child, could be all Raven heard last. Raven flinched slightly and several Imperial gaurds attacked the serene warrior. It was a futile fleet, now only blood smeared the clothes, face, and floors. The Lorelei smirked and licked the blood which dripped from her blade. The unwistful bride looked on disgustedly, as Raven approached her slowly. The King and Queen stood beside her with fright. Elysian, in defence, put himself between the two women.
"Whoever you are, I request you leave this holy and regal place. It is no sanctuary for the devilish likes of you Miss." Raven didn't reply, she only looked on even more blindly at her.
A man out of the crowd meekly walked out, "My Lord and Lady, this woman is Raven Lorelei, feared by all. A heathen, vixen. Merciless, and hateful. As much as you would try to talk to her, it wouldn't matter, she is blind, mute, and deaf." The meek man, called Rion, looked scared at the vixen. Raven turned her head and stare away from Elysian to Rion. A voice could be heard echoing through all of their minds as a " That never stopped me before." Was all that could be heard. Raven struck him in his side. Rion dropped to the floor, he was still alive, Raven wanted to leave her mark. Which one of you is Elysian, huh. Answer me you worthless humans.
Fright shadowed all faces. Could anyone have stopped this vixen Lorelei.
Sry,killer costume I've got to work on. I'll add soon!
Name: Aiden
Origin: The Spirits
Species: Spirit of Earth and Ether
Land: the Moonpaths
Age: exact age is unknown, but he is young, very young, even compared to humans. One would guess he is around sixteen.
Language: no language but that of the moonpaths (which is more akin to empathy), but he can learn those he needs very quickly, and can understand anyone that he needs to.
Personality: Very quiet; one might even say that he is shy. Contrastingly, he also has a distinct sense of humor and a insatiable curiousity. He is completely innocent and naive to the ways of the "real" world. He has never encountered death, pain, or any other vices. His life revolves around the concept of harmony, and yet disharmony is something that is suddenly thrust upon him when he enters the "real" world, and he is terribly distressed because of it. He is benevolent and forgives easily. Anger is something almost incomprehensible to him. He never kills, not even to eat.
General Appearance: In mortal form, he has white-blond hair and pale skin. He basically looks albino, except he never burns in the sun. His eyes are a brilliant blue in his face. His ears are long and slim like an elf's, and he has slighly pointy canines. He is tall, lithe, and graceful.
Family: The concept of parents is foreign to him. He has been alone for his entire life (except for the company he chooses to keep) and does not recall any "parents".
Nestled in somnolent tranquility in the nothingness of the Voids, Aiden almost didn't sense the summonings that drew him out of his rest and back into the Moonpaths.
Something, whether it was an inner or outer disturbance he could not tell, snapped him back to full consciousness, and he opened his mind back up to the Moonpaths, where a gyre of spinning energies spun the waxing and waning Veils of the Moonpaths into order.
Now, the suggestion came. Aiden, only partially born of the spirits, did not have the ability to plunge into the Veils after the answer, and he had no idea from whom or what the call was sent. Perhaps it was from his own people, the spirits of earth and ether? The Moonpaths themselves? Some inner sense of his own? He did not know, and it did not matter.
With the summons arrived a burst of complex instructions that illuminated his mind- images, emotions, bursts of thought and speech of others, memories, data- he swam in it, was drunk with it.
He only had one question left to ask about his instructions. He did not ask who the people were that he was supposed to meet up with, or what dangers he would face along the way. This information came to him with the vision, startling in its clarity. He was supposed to aide a half-spirit boy, of his own age, in achieving his destiny. He was supposed to go to the Otherworld in a mortal form, forsaken from the Moonpaths until he completed his duty, and meet the boy by a place of many waters. The dangers, he was shown, would be varied and great. In mortal form he could be hurt. He could die.
He did not ask questions about any of this. The one thing he did have to know was, Why?
To preserve harmony, the answer came a split second later.
The Otherworld is disharmonious. To suffer though these dangers is disharmonious. My arrival will be disharmonious. There is no preservation of harmony in this that you ask of me.
Sometimes one must cause disharmony to create harmony. You know what you must do.
He knew.
Elysian woke up and found that he was still alive. He looked around and soon realized they were sitting by a lake in the forests of Gala. He was worried about his family, his people and strangely enough Celica. What would the two that fought in the Ballroom do?
He turned and saw the man who took him. He sat look at the water quite content with himself.
“Can you return my sword please? It is the only thing I have of my mother.” Elysian asked politely.
“If you want it here,” Tolsyn said with a smile as he threw the sword into the water.
“What did you that for?” Elysian asked confused.
“If you want the sword back so bad. You should be able to get it even if it’s not handed to you,” Tolsyn explained. “Think of it this way if you find it you get to keep it.”
Elysian mumble a little as he took his short off and jumped into the water, but to his surprise the water was colder than he expected.
The doors to the ballroom were wide open. People tended to the wounded and mourned for the dead. Celica could not believe what was happening. this was the strangest day she ever had, and it was also the saddest.
Just then Dark Demon walk into the room and was very saddened by what he saw.
“Who went and started the party without me,” he smirked.
Raven turned to the door and bowed respectful.
“So you are the princess the prince was suppose to marry,” he continued as he turned to Celica. “It’s a shame you would have to leave before you two have a chance to get married.”
“What do you mean?” Celica asked with a look of confusion on her face.
“I’m taking you with me,” he smiled. Then he turned to the crowd. “Tell your dim-witted prince if he wants her come and get her.”
Dark Demon and his men left the room and the kingdom. No one had a clue where he went, but lingering in the Ballroom was the Demonic laugh he laughed as he left the room.
Thistle awoke early the next morning and prepared to leave. She kept it no secret that she was sorry to leave, for she was well-liked in the town and enjoyed the kindness of the cheerful townsfolk. They had no clue what she did, but had a vague notion that it was dangerous.
Her job was in fact, more deadly than they could guess. She was a ranger and it was her business to hunt dark creatures and wild things from their darksome holes and lairs in the hills. Not an hour from the town dwelled such evil things that would freeze the townsfolk's blood if they knew it.
But Thistle protected them, because this place was like her home, and these were people well worth saving in a tainted and cold world. Thistle patted Cottonweed in the grey mists of morning, leading him towards the crossroads.
"Hmmmm.....Gala? Or....."
Cottonweed nudged Thistle towards Gala. "My thoughts indeed!" she laughed and stroked Cottonweed.
She led Cottonweed into the dark forests, towards Gala where so much was coming together.
Now is the time, the message came.
Aiden blinked, and suddenly was standing in a place of many waters. He felt the Moonpaths close up behind him, and half in fear he tried to reach out to them, but they did not respond. His heart, his mortal heart, thundered in his chest for a moment as he realized that for the first time in his life he was bared from the Moonpaths, that he was locked here in the Otherworld. Then he swallowed hard, and got down to business.
Flesh was something new to him. He felt so much heavier here, and there were limits to himself. Sight and sound were dulled, as were his other senses. Yet at the same time they were more acute. He almost didn't know what do do with himself.
He was in the place of many waters. A great pool stood before him, stretching far to either side of him. Distantly, at the opposite side, he could see two figures, and identified them immediatly. They were the mortals Elysian and Tolsyn.
Aiden had to get to them, but he had no idea how to go about doing so. This pool was too large to walk around- indeed, he was not sure he could walk around it; it seemed to stretch forever to his right and left.
The Moonpaths would not allow him to use them to adjust his location. His only other option was to swim, and so swim he did.
In the inner most reigns of the palace of Gala a girl walked into a dark room.
"Wincer," The girl shouted. "You stupid animal is this where you were the whole time Elysian was in danger."
Wincer lifter his head and sniffed the air. He master sent was not to be found.
"Don't bother sniffing for him, he is gone," she continued. The tiger attempted to sniff the air again but was interrupted by the girl again. "Celica isn't here either. Since i and Elysian's sister and dreadfully worried about him i most insist that we go and look for him.
As she said this she passed him out and the head for the gate to leave the kingdom.
First we find Elysian and then we we'll go look for Celica the girl plan as they made their way through the gates.
Raven sat motionless in the pool of water. Her hair dripping wet and thrown all over her face. The sound of Dark Demon's boots echoed through the cave.
"Darkness conceals beauty." The outline of Dark Demon began to trase in her "sight". "Why are you here?"
Lord Alexandros, made me look like a bloody fool! He is supposed to be bloody at this moment! He made me look like a damn fool! That man, hurt me. He hurt me!!!!!! I vow to you my Lord that his blood is mine!!!
The Dark Demon held her chin. "He is no match for you. Unworthy to be killed by you. Do not worry about this Alexandros fellow. I would think you're gaining affection towards an opponent that beat you."
I have gained none of the such and he did not beat me. The aroma of the blood seemed to dilude my senses, that is all.
"It better be!" He got up and left the soak maiden, who had a quizzical look on her face.
Celica laid weak and limp and the shackles bounded her to a cold rock wall. A skeleton was beside her. It's sight didn't seem as frightful as before. It's lost spirit became a friend.
A dark and cold draft entered the dark death room, a scent of poison and evil suddenly lifted and mixed with the surrounding aroma od death.Sin entered the dismal dungeon room. Celica's eyes starred at him crossly.
"Well, hello Celica. How may you be today?" Celica did not reply, she turned her sight to rotten bones and dead animals. Sin hesitated. "Do not force me to ask again...Celica." Celica turned her head to his direction and propped up with his statement. "Ahh I see you finally see me, so I'll ask again." Celica closed her eyes and gritted her teethed with furiosity. "How are you?"
"Yo, Sinevil, Sin, whatever you call yourself. If you're trying to hit on me, ur doing a hell of a horrible job at it." With that said she spit in his face and turned around to face the wall. Sin looked on awe struck, trying to wipe the spit from his face. She was a hard one to land, he knew that very well. He also knew she was a very important asset. As he left the dark dungeon, he in all his splendor of evil and termoil only could say but one thing, "Work before play." The metal door clanged with the last ring of play.
Thistle trekked through the woods with Cottonweed and before long, they reached Gala. The land seemed to be in turmoil. Thistle frowned. Something was very wrong. She went to the best place you could hear about things that happened and get the true story.
A small villagw with lots of villagers and plenty of inns.
Aiden was nearly halfway across the great body of water when he felt the first shivers of magic. The water magnified the energy, making him shiver in alarm as he threaded his way across the great lake. What was going on?
Peaking his head above the surface of the water, he saw in the distance a growing spherical ball of energy, and within it a demon was rapidly forming. The mage glanced at it lazily with a curious expression that suggested he expected its arrival. Elysian, in the midst of reaching for a sword extending at a strange angle from the sand, froze in shock and fear as bolts of energy shot from the orb into a solid rock, creating from it a blazing inferno. The lightening rose in intensity as well as frequency, until at last mage was forced to shove the spellbound prince out of the way of danger. That awoke the boy to action, and a moment later he and the magician were busily battling the creature, until at last the thing was defeated.
It was a rather short battle. By the time Aiden had made his way across the lake, the demon was dead and the magician was kneeling on a ledge which overhung the lake, bathing his hand. It was there that Aiden surfaced at last, and the startled magician found himself peering into brilliant blue eyes framed by skin and hair so fair that they could blend in with snow.
"I am here to aid you," Aiden said pleasantly, but his words went unheard or perhaps even unspoken, for no sooner than he had placed the palms of his hands on the dry rock of the ledge, the magician, with responses to danger so finetuned that he automatically reacted to any possible threat with full power, half reared away from Aiden and lifted a hand that swirled with blue energy. The bolt connected sickeningly with Aiden's chest, and he only knew a moment of red hot pain before darkness spread over him and he slipped from the ledge and back into the water.
Elysian had heard what the boy had to say and appreciated that some had came to join them. As he looked at the boy he was shocked and disgusted at Tolsyn actions towards him. Being a prince, Elysian was broth up form the time he learned how to speak until this very day to respect others. Elysian jumped into the water and pulled the boy limp and unconscious body out of the cold water.
It to a while for the boy to regain consciousness, When he did he woke to see Elysian’s worried eyes staring at him.
“May I ask what is your name?” Elysian asked polity after he felt the boy was well enough to speak.
--------------------------------------------------
The young princess sat with Wincer under the shaped of a Willow for the sun was blazing hot. Her name was Flora, the second youngest child of the king of Gala. Wincer slept peacefully with his head on her lap as she stroked it gently.
“Elysian when I find you I’m going to kill you for leaving the Palace unattended. You promised to never leave me alone without just cause.” She shouted angrily as she looked at the sky, Her scream echoed through the trees as Flora slowing drifted of to sleep.
Raven Lorelei looked emotionlessly outside of the window. The smell of death lingered and she needed to be there, but would her Master, the only one she would bow to, let her leave again after his abrupt actions. She could knew he had to be in his chambers.
************
Raven entered the candlelit room. My Lord, The Dark Demon turned towards her. He put down his sword he was tentively sharpening to address his most fateful servant. My Lord, something is amiss. I need to... amm leave to go and amm...address the situation...that's amm amiss.
"Raven, why are you speaking like that, are you concealing something from me."
My Lord, never. What ever made you wonder up that tought. He stood up and walked towards her in suspicious fashion, analyzing her.
"It was just the way you were speaking. Are you, my dear, going to check out whatever has been going on around here, and distroy that menace who has been plaguing your mind for a quite a time now."
Yes my Lord, this vent up anger I have must be released. He has already stained my spotless record, please allow me too.
"Yes you may."
Thank you my lord, I will leave right now.
"And Raven," She paused at him, who stood looking before her. " You look simply ravishing in candlelight." She starred crossly at him and left the room.
Don't try it. She telephated one last time before she left the Dark Kingdom.
*********************
Celica was laughing gaily inside the her dungeon. In the dismal atmosphere she founs someway to have at least fun. A friend was founs, one that was never there. His name was Endymion, a spirit, the spirit of the skeleton that rotted beside her.
"Why Celica, I haven't heard you laugh from since you came into this horrid place."
"Well, yes that is true Endymion, but thanks to you, I at least know I haven't forgotten too."
"But you still miss those you love don't you?"
"Yes, I do, every second of everyday. I just hope..." She swung unwillfully on her chains, "That Elysian is all right, and i will see him before whatever I was brought here for happens."
"My Princess, I have a strong feeling that you will." Celica turned quickly to the transparent form beside her.
"How do you know I am a princess?"
Thistle was listening to the old people in their garden. Behind her were two pleasant young girls at the well who had given her some very interesting information and pushing a wheelbarrow down a dirt road was a quiet man who had given Thistle something to think about. Gala's rural village beyond the gates of the city was quiet and very peaceful. No stone roads, no hustle or bustle, nice dirt roads bordered by grass and flowers everywhere. (Change this if you don't like it)
"So we says to poor Mr. Didle,he's the man from down the road who goes and works in the city, so to speak, he says, We saw all sorts o' flashy lights and screams, and sees all sorts o' people bein' carried out, all bloody and whatnot. Dangerous business it is, in these dark times."
"Oh, yes. And what with the return of evil things to the city and the prince being stolen, things can only get worse, don't you think?" asked the old man's wife. Thistle nodded before thanking them and taking her leave. She went off to the inn where she was spending the night. She had something important to think about.
Aiden watched sullenly as the mage and the boy played childish games with their magic, making sparks and pretty lights, while he was utterly ignored. He sat in his corner on the ledge, where he had retreated immediatly after he had awoken following the brutal zapping by the sinister mage. His ribs still hurt from where the blast had caught him, and he wrapped his arm about it, feeling the bandage beneath that the prince had managed to give him despite Aiden's refusal to speak to him.
Despite his voluntary exile, he still did not like being ignored. The prince had given up a good fifteen minutes before at trying to coax him out into the sunlight so that he could see to his wounds, and the mage had suggested that Elysian leave him alone, insisting he would come out on his own or never at all.
Aiden watched the mage tutor the prince on magic, and couldn't restrain a smile as the boy burned his hand while trying to make fire. This Elysian was so infantile, despite being the same age as Aiden. The magics that Aiden had been accustomed to wielding since his early childhood suddenly looked laborious in Elysian's hands.
The prince was now whining about his burned hand, asking the mage to fix it for him, but the mage insisted that he was out of power and could do nothing to help.
I could help you, Aiden thought to himself, but had no intention of doing so. After all, he had come to aid them, and they had attacked him on first sight!
He stared somberly from his crevice at the halflings. He was getting hungry, but he was not coming out.
a month had pass since Elysian was first taken from the place. In that time his skills with his sword and his magic had improved under the supervision of Tolsyn. Aiden had finally desided to come out of the crevice he had sent most of his time in after first meeting Elysian and Tolsyn. He now sat deep in meditation but he sat sucluded from the others. It was clear to him something was about to happen and it would cange the corse of thing from now on.
In a darkroom somewhere in Gala, Dark Demon sat talking to 10 figures as the fire flickered in the wind. As the candle light shone bright again iit's light elunamated a figure's eyes as he sat in the coner of the room, and his eyes glowed yellow
With swift and agile speed, Raven pounced from tree limb to tree, through the vast abyss of trees and forest. She stopped to look up and smell the air, to be aware of whatever was coming. She felt evil today, more than usual, enough to kill that Lord how forever stained her spotless bounty killer record. How infantile, to dwell on something such as this when she could just move on. Like she cared, it made no difference. The same blood is new blood and she wanted his. But what about that Elysian boy, the Spirits told her about. What did he have to do with any of this? What about the other one, Bliss? She never even met her. As her toughts dwelled upon past occurences she stopped again.
How forgetful of me. I have teleportation. So let me see, who do I want to find first, Ohhh yes that damned Alexandros. She concentrated hard upon the vision of Alex traced in her mind and in a single second she was gone from the tree limb and the forest.
Celica was signing a beautiful song that she and Elysian used to sign together. Endymion sat on the cold hard dungeon floor, completely enraptured by the grace and beauty of Celica's voice and the serene lyrics. He was being involuntarily draw into a world of song and praise. As she finished and sat back down beside her transparent companion, Endymion could see her pain and how mush she missed Elysian.
"You love him don't you?" He asked sullenly looking at the floor, waiting for her reply.
"Excuse, what did you say?" She turned to him.
"You love Elysian, don't you."
"Endymion, why would you want to know something like that." She laughed with a tone sounding as if she was restraining.
"Tell me, Celica!"
"It wouldn't make a bloody difference, he returns my feelings, not. He only sees me as a girl in his ftahers court, nothing more nothing loess. Even if I did love him, he doesn't love me. I have forsaken my heart and loved in vain. Wherever he is now, in sympathy to each word, he isn't thinking of me."
Thistle had become quite friendly with the villagers. Most of them had seen her before, and were beginning to see her as a friendly face, one who could be trusted and one who might bring something interesting to their lives. The ranger chatted with them and all the while, listening for clues about what was going on.
Aiden finally finished his meditation. He fears he now know where correct and danger could be anywhere. He made his way slowly to the lake, sat the the edge of the water and stared deeply into it.
"The time for rest is no. The road ahead will be long and dangerous. This is only the calm before the storm." He repeated slowly to himself before he drifted off to sleep.
Celica had refused to tell Endymion anymore, Elysian had always been a touchy subject for here to talk about. To hide the feelings that came over her see engaged herself in a deep conversation with Bliss whom see had not seen till Endymion stopped asking questions.
Celica liked talking to Bliss, who listened intently to all Celica had to say. So Celica did the same in return.
"Do you know that Dark Demon is planning something. He was in a meeting with some of the most dangerous people in the lands." Bliss said.
"Really? What were they planning?" Celica asked.
"Well I heard this man with blazing yellow eyes say he wanted the honor of killing Elysian." Bliss continued.
"Kill Elysian?" Celica gasped. "Why?"
"He is the only one that could stand in their way, I'm not sure exactlly what their planning, but power over the nations is definatly involved." Endymion added as he came out of the shadows. "But why that boy?"
"Because of his Mother!" said a voice that the three noticed came from a figure that had appeared out of nowhere.
{I am sooooooooooo gonna mess with Alex, mmwhhhhaahhhhaaaahhh!)
When I look at you Lord, Both paced around each other, each looking upon the other with intent sight.
"Yes."
I see filt, dirt, scum. She starred at him crossly with a sly smirk on his face.
"Wanna know what I see." Her smile changed to a a mad expression. "I see a girl, tortured and captured by a subordinate whom you pay homage. A girl lost with such hidden power a girl, afraid...afraid of the world. a girl...afraid of people better than her!!!!! You see I might hate you as much as you hate me, but I enjoy this fight every minute. To class blades with such a worthy advisary, but what still puzzles me, 'girl' is... I know about your power, I sense it, so why have you yet to destroy me." She stopped, with Alex mirroring her. It didn't seem like she wanted to listen, but Alex's word pounded hard in her head and in her heart.
You...you too have some secret power. I also sense it. I haven'tdestroyed you because I want to fight to the fullest. I have yet to kill you, because I want you to fight with that power to. No one is holding back. Alex dropped his sword, his left brow quirked high. He began to last continuously holding his side. What's so funny?!?!?! She traced to him.
"What am I hearing, the Raven Lorelei, the infamous bounty hunter, rootless killer who always gets what she wants, wants to fight fair. I have never heard worse. You want to fight fair! I have realized from since you met me, you've gotten wuite 'fair'."
You should have done that. The sly smirk crossed her evil face again. He looked at her dumbounded. Prepare to die! Ravenm charged to Lord with speed and ferocity, leaving Alex only a few seconds to realized he dropped his sword. Before he knew it the sickle was to his neck.
"Huh."
Raven laid over him, with sickle in hand and slowly edging into his soft skin. Alex's hands tried hard and vainly to reach or at least touch the hilt of his sword, but Raven's position over him, caused him not to move very far. She starred deep into his dark eyes as if she was searching for something, just starring. One was sure would die, but who. Her sickle ready to strike with any slight movement. Alex was at a standstill. What could he do to get her of him, he knew it had to be something that would take her aback. The fact was, his action had to be quicker than her reaction.
Thistle was sitting with Cottonweed in the back stable yard of an inn. "Everything's coming together," she said softly. "My kin will come and the great war will begin. Few will survive."
Cottonweed nudged her and Thistle smiled sadly.
"Why were my kin and I doomed to have such a life? We are fated only to suffer, only to fade in the end and remain as but memories of the Fair days of Old. I will be forced now to give up all joy I have gained now and reveal my true name and history. And you-" she stroked Cottonweed's nose.
"What will become of you if I or none of my friends survive? I would not have you sold to any farmer as a workhorse. You are fair mount and will not suffer to be led by any but the rangers. Cottonweed, these times are dark and hold small hope for me or anyone. Now is the final time when all unite to save what might be lost only pass and leave the Two Kindreds to pave their way for ages to come. Men and the others shall survive and all others must fade."
Weary, Thistle rested her head upon Cottonweed's. A tear glinted in her eye, for the loss of so many. Cottonweed whickered softly. Thistle laughed, but it was sad.
"Come," she said finally.
As the stars danced forever in the heavens in the clear night, they departed, for the war had begun. There was much to do.
Aiden woke to the sound of running water, and rose wearily. He was surprised at his exhaustion- meditation rarely took so much out of him. He did not recall if he had had any visions or not; indeed he did not even recall coming to the edge of the lake.
Rising slowly, feeling the aches from muscles resting in an awkward position for too long, he made his way back to the camp where the prince and the mage were sleeping.
Or, at least, Elysian was sound asleep. Aiden had no clue where Tolsyn had disappeared to, and left the sleeping prince long enough to search for the mage. He summoned his power, sending forth a tendril of seeking magic that connected mage to mage, but Tolsyn did not respond. He was not sure if that was a bad thing or not. It could simply be that Tolsyn did not have enough Spirit blood in him to hear the call of another Spirit, but he was a half-blood, and Aiden suspected that was not the case. Perhaps Tolsyn was concentrated on something else, or ignoring him.
Aiden tried again, deciding to search rather than seek, wandering manually among the Webs, trying to locate Tolsyn. He did not find the mage, but he did discover a sort of Void, which had been deliberately blanked out to hide whatever was within.
Aiden banished his view of the Web, and contemplated what he had just seen. A Void, here? It had been below the earth somewhere, but he had not seen any ways to get underground in this place. Yet the searching spell had led Aiden to the Void, before dissipating on its surface.
Well, if one could not see into the Void magically, then one would have to try manually. Aiden walked over to Elysian and shook the prince awake.
"Aahhhhh...what..." Elysian half shouted half yawned. "Why did you wake me up?"
"This is urgent, you fool. I wouldn't of disturbed you if it were not." Aiden said in a voice that sounded like he was very annoyed.
Elysian slowly sat up and listened to what Aiden had to say.
"Among the webs there is a Void that has been deliberately blanked out." Aiden continued.
"A void? That is?" Elysian shrugged.
"What kind of spirit are you. Stand up and follow me, Tolsyn has disappeared. I will explain on the way." Aiden answered as he ran back to the sight he had seen the void, Elysian followed swiftly behind him.
Raven ran swiftly through the dense forest, filled with flowers of curelean and violet. Streams of blood trickled down her tanned arms and body staining the dark earth. Fumbling on the slightest steps, apparently she was being fatigued by blood loss. She looked up towards to fewest shafts of light that seeped through the trees. Soon blood loss did catch up to her and she collapsed, distressed, in the wood, screaming in agony and pain, furiosity and hate, torn and dying. The strong scent of her blood engulfed her in an aroma and feeling which she never thought she could feel.
The wind blew briskly around her sweeping soft petals across her worn face. Again, as before, They talked, the Spirits, her Spirits.
Tolsyn. A voice in somber tone whispered.
Aiden. Another said as somber as before.
Elysian. She querked at the osund of his name, realizing instanly that that was the name she heard before. 'Who was he she thought', bewildered by the sudden repetition, 'Who were they.'
Raven closed her eyes and slowly imagined......death.
Alex sat like a little child in his chambers, dimly lit with candle light, looking up at the furiously pacing Magus. He seemed like an angry parent furious at the action of the younger one. The silence in the room was eerie, forcing Alex to do his long time habit.
"I just can't believe you actually took on that Vixen's challenge!" His voice shot loud with his furiousity, sending Alex back in astonishment. He never saw the Magus this angry.
"Listen Mage, she was there. I must admit her offer was tempting. It was queer destiny how all this seemed to just intertwine into a..."
"A what, oohh all knowing Lord." Sarcasm oozed of each word.
"I don't know. It's strange how all this happened. Seemingly enough, this man Elysian played or I believe plays an important role in this drama of war."
"You think this is just a game!! A war is waging...a war. And I know you feel it as well as I." Again the Lord was overtaken by Magus's anger.
"Listen, anger doesn't become me, and I do not enjoy screaming as much as you do, but you must realize each of these different occurences all have some type of meaning and anyway can I help it If I cannot resist a fight by a worthy opponent!" He laid back on his bed. "But, all I want right now is to end this battle, this unfinished war of one on one. She is a very worthy opponent, she could bring about my death."
"She almost did Lord." He sat in an oak chair beside him. Alex turned away his head as if he knew that he was foolish at that point. Again that eerie silence reeked through the rafters of his sleeping chambers, but Magus broke it. " Her scythe."
"Yeah, what about it."
"I have it."
"And how may I ask does that concern me."
"It gave me interesting news which I hope would ease your troubled conscience."
"What." He sat up and looked Magus in his eye.
"She is dying."
"Everyone is dying, from since the day she was born."
"No, Alex, don't be naive. She is dying, of blood loss and depression."
"What?!" This caught his rambled attention.
"Three battles with you, three battles and yet you still stand, this has wounded her pride which set her into a deep depression and too, you have wounded her physically, which you know what the consequences lead to."
"And what are you getting at. What do you want me to do."
"I don't know. Why don't you decide." The silver moon shone brightly in the starlit sky.
Thistle had ridden from the village in the night. The summonings were to begin.
Celica and the others listen with respect as the figure explain why it had come. They could also hear the rian drops falling outside.
(Lady_Arwen join my campfire Mystique.)
Raven laid in puddle of her blood. Her silver hair was the colour of her crimson blood. As the slowl seconds passed she began to think back as far as she could remember to when the Dark Demon found her. His eyes were so comforting and peaceful, he offered to help her, give her a memory, a life worth living, he offered her love and he gave her all of that in a different way and now she laid their swimming in the aroma of blood and slowly falling to death. If that Alex had appeared at Gala, she would be here now. Thanks to him her stainless record would be destroyed by someone who even she new was a match.
With weak arms, she tried to reach over for aher scythe soon realizing it was gone. She was losing everything and she couldn't stop it, she realized she never had anything. The Dark Demon didn't really give her way she wanted, she wanted to see, really see. Look into the eyes of the one she fought, speak words to them, her the voices of others, speak with her heart. Raven began to gasp for air, she felt the hands of The Spirits slowly taking her away. Raven badly wanted to see the one who had rendered her to this state one last time to show him what she had done to her. To see if he was happy with what he had done. to see how it felt to be the best, something she knew she never could be again. She hoped she could see Lord Alexandros one last time. But her request with denied, as she finished pronouncing the last consonant of his name she died. Alone, in her own blood, not knowing true sight, true life, or true love.
Oh dear..what a mess. Will look for it, Dark Angel.
Thistle sat at the summons, speaking with rangers hastily. They were thinking, and deciding what was to be done.
"And you are sure of this, Celinde?"(pronounced Seh-lind), asked a ranger. Her hair was long and red, and curled in waves about her back, pulled back from her face.
Celinde, aka Thistle, was deep in thought when Therwain, the ranger speaking to her addressed her by her true ranger name. "There can be no doubt. It is the time."(I dont know WHAT I am talking about, but I am working up a plot for Thistle/Celinde).
The rangers sat and pondered this for a moment. "We shall have to discuss this...we will see."
Aiden finally cuaght up Elysian and Tolsyn. They had far to go now and little time to get there.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Celica could not believe what she had heard when the figure finally fisined its story. All that was happening the figure claimed happened because of Elysian's mother.

The figure said Elysian's mother was in her time one of the strongest spirits known. She and her trusted sword had won many vitories. In one fight she managed to beat an evil man named Lord Neoman. He had in his posetion all the lands of the north and the largest army of all, but she defeated him and took all he owned. Before he was put in prison he swore revenge, and in a weeks time he disapped from jail.
( Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm, where am I now. hahahahahahahaha. Wait and see what I will do next, trust me. You think I'll actually kill myself. I know a lot of u were saying, good riddens.)

" Long ago the old kin spoke of death and the magic of it, powerful words, syllable by syllable, woven into stories of Lord and especially Life. People kept these stories and truths and some wouldn't bear think of it. In life no one is surw how long they would live let alone if they would live at all. MAny or few take the "gift" of death for granted, killing and terrorizing people, either innocent or guilty. On a minority of these are good at this, good enough never to be stopped , until one day or fateful occurence... This my brethren, is one of the many truths which a lost soul took forgranted, loved, and followed. Due to this life of anarchy, she too was soon condemned to the same end and bloody leave of this realm." All was silent, only the crackle of a burning fire could be heard, a fire held among the priests and priestesses of the known lands and the mystic spiritis. All sat silently as Minerva, overseer, priestess, and chieftain of the lands of Gala, continued Statement. "I can only call Raven a lost Spirit, and I can say that even to me, the simple fact of her age is unknown and hard to obtain. She can't just die without knowing about herself and the reason for her disabilities." The invisible eyes of the Spirit's looked upon her with suspicion, listening closely to the reactions of the others around the blaze.

Some were not as agreeable with these words as others were: most nodded in agreement and others rambled in disgust at it. Larme(accent on e), priest and chieftain of the Federation of Windhurst, and a many other hated Raven for she destroyed their fruitful Kingdoms. Larme, especially, had a deep passion towards her, it burned with constant hatred. " She tried to kill my Lord, His Exellency Alexandros. They rare people who, too, don't know anything of their family or life, she took that away and you expect us to have sympathy for her." He exclaimed vehemently. "She is a tyrant, who I thank the Spirits is dead and burning in hell!" In the midst of his words, the fire shot up and rained in torrents.Did the Spirits agree or disagree. Larme's Lord was the reason she was dead and he was the reason she stopped killing. What were they to do. The Council stretched on into the depths of the night till an agreement was struck.

**************************************************

The sun glistened off freshly fallen dew as it rose slowly over the ocean. The diamonds rolled off the tanned skin of the figure who laid in the soft grassy coastline meadow.

Alex drank the rest of his ale as he walked out the rustic tavern. He aimlessly ambled a while along the green stretch of coast without noticing the person lying below him. In deep thought, he sat on the meado'ws end, which stretched out to the see. He was thinking about the impending war and what that would do to his country. 'But.' He though, 'at least Raven is dead and gone. Now people's wounds can heal and they can finally live life without the fear of her. Her scythe gleaming in her hands. Her canine's gleaming as she smirked.' "Whhhhhhhhhooooooooooooaaaaaaaaa!" Lemme stop there. What the hell am I saying. Smirking. What in God's name was I thinking. Was I even thinking." He stopped, and looked to the rising sun. It sounds as if I miss Raven, but that can't be. My side still pains from her But..." His thought were quickly interrupted by a moan that sounded like the word Elysian. He turned around and starred down at the girl below him on driftwood and grass.
~Poor Thistle is all alone in her storyline..this seems to happen a lot...but is perfectly ok!;)~
The trees were swaying in night breeze. All was still. Thistle continued to sit and wait while the rangers discussed the problem, tossing every thought this way and that. She sighed impatiently. Feeling it was never going to end, she went to where Cottonweed was grazing. She fell into the misty dark green turf.
She patted her horse's nose. When would it begin?
Celica look around slowly for Bliss, but she was gone. Before she vanished her necklace began shining.

"It is time we leave this prison." Celica said. "Endymion you must come with me.

Before she and Endymion had time to plan their escape Sin made his way in to the prison, by this time the figure was gone.

"It is a pity to keep a beautiful girl like you in chains, but my brother demands it." Sin began, "But I think it is time you come with me."

At that he opened the chains and led Celica upstairs to the dinning room.

"Go ahead, sit, eat, make yourself merry." Sin continued as he help Celica in to a seat and sat himself down.

"I wish to eat none of your food, but to return to my father kingdom, or Gala the kingdom i have now made my home." Celica replied angrily.

"As you wish we will be on our way this instant." Sin smiled.

"We?"

Alex looked around flustered and stumbled down to the coastline. The young maiden laid gruesomely fastened to a long large piece of rotted drift wood. With all the care he had he picked up the limp body and rush back to the tavern he had left earlier. He ran through the back, with hopes of not being seen and went up to the room he had reserved for the night. He held the girl not sure whether to place her on the bed or on the cold hard stone floor. Strange images began to flash through his head until the were disrupted by the abrupt slaming of the large wooden door. Lord Alexandros look back to see a young woman standing there infront of him.
She starred at him hard then retrieved a large board from beneath the bed, "Get me some steaming towels and lay them across this plank."

Alex looked at her, then quickly realizing he gave the body over to the young maiden who waited paciently for his return, when he did she told him to lay the towels on the board lenght wise to cover it all. She laid the unconscious girl on the steaming clothes and undressed her wound, looking for any signs of malignant infection. She took and extra cloth a started cleaning her deep gash, realizing how much blood she had lost and strangely how she was still alive. The process of cleaning he rwound took roughly about an hour or two, but she told Alex she would survive. "I need just one more thing?"

"And what is that, miss." She looked at her. She smiled and implied to his pocket. "Huh."

"Your white linen kneckerchief, good Sir." He handed her the linen scarf with a little prudence, but quickly realized a life was at stake, he quickly agreed. He watched as she tied her side up aand as the loose blood seeped into its linen threads. "And what my good lady is you name?" She turned.

"Celinde, just Celinde." He smiled. The tender moment was interrupted by a two pair of large pale lavender jade eyes. Celinde looked at her queerly and Alex let out a loud gasp...

"Hello?".......

(I'm back, I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo sryyyy for keeping you waiting, but a lot of things where happening and you know, well I'll be writing now and so sry. Don't mind the addition it would have been better if i had more time. Dan, hope you and Thistle can write a good follow up, Thanx)
Hm. Have a strong desire to suddenly make Thistle become a pirate. Sorry guys, I'll write my next turn but I'm kind of out of it, and I have absolutely no idea what to do with Thistle. Will need to think. Sorry!
Celica found it hard to belive that Sin was taking her back to Gala, but she didn't care she was going home.
(i'm lost. :( )
"Where am I" Her voice was inconsistent and unwavering.

"Those eyes!" Celinde looked at him queerly as he said this. The girl was trying to get up.

"What do you mean those eyes?" She asked walking to the front of him. HE didn't seem to be paying attention. Not one even realized that the girl was trying to get up, but until she lost her balance, Alex ran over to help her before she fell. He dropped to his knees with her in his arms.

"My legs, they are extremeley weak and my eyes burn from the light." He chringed in the sunlight and huddled in his arms. What was up with this girl.

"Who are you anyway?" Celinde asked.

She didn't move, but Alex could feel her breath on his skin and hear her low voice. "She doesn't know." Alex looked up at her.

"Well I would believe that after someone finds you on driftwood with a spike through ur back. She should be dead."

"Well, miss, the Spirits take pity on people.

"Well." She looked out the door. "What are you going to do with her?"

Alex shrugged knowing that he had just taken on the responsibility of taking care of this girl by rescuing her. It would be all right wouldn't it?

AHH! I don't even know what Thistle is waiting for! So she needs help? And *ack* I don't even know how she's going to factor into this. I have written myself into a corner. Curses...
