Kazamba has chosen two major sectors

Located in the town of Kikwit, Kwilu province in the south-west of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), the commune of Kazamba continues to be supported by the PARC project (Programme d'appui à la participation citoyenne de la société civile dans la gestion du bien commun) with the backing of COFED and the European Union delegation in the DRC.

In order to boost long-awaited development, the agents and authorities of this commune have chosen and retained two sectors of life that they consider judicious, necessary and a priority. These are the Economy and the Environment. The other sectors relating to people's daily lives will be tackled in the days to come as part of other projects.

Why the Economy first?

According to the information received from the authorities and agents of this decentralized territorial entity, this commune has been evolving for years in a context characterized by excessive evasion of tax revenues. This makes it impossible to carry out actions likely to develop the commune's population.

What about the environment?

The commune of Kazamba, like other communes, is threatened by a number of erosion headings which risk making this large commune disappear from the geographical map of the town of Kikwit.

Voices have been raised to denounce the damaging effects of this erosion agamy. These include the swallowing up of several hundred houses, and the complication of movements for the population to reach other corners of this entity.

The authorities and staff of the aforementioned commune believe that, with the support of the PARC project, the two sectors selected for their relevance, the commune of Kazamba is on the right track.
Kazamba is on the right track to ensure that development arrives without shame and that the lives of the communities are improved.
