Just because life gives you lemons, does not mean you HAVE to make lemonade. |
[Introduction]
People always say "when life gives you lemons make lemonade". I've learned that not all of us can do that and it doesn't mean that I'm weak. Sometimes when life gives you lemons you need to squeeze out the juice, get rid of the seeds inside the cup, add some sugar, and add some ice. Sometimes when life gives you lemons you aren't ready to make the lemonade yet or your not sure how to make the lemonade the right way, or you just don't want to make the damn lemonade at all. The thing about lemons and lemonade is that you always have them on a hot, sunny, nice day in the afternoon where you think nothing can get in your way. Then that big lemon pops up out of nowhere and your frustrated because you were having a nice time. For an example, you could be hanging out with your friends on a Wednesday night. watching a movie and having a good old time, and then boom! You remember you have this huge project to do and you didn't even start it. The best part of your project is that it's half grade. In this situation you can see that lemon is the project and the beautiful sunshine is you hanging out with your friends. In that moment your brain is probably thinking that you need to hurry home and do that project, knowing that you'll be very tired tomorrow when you go to class because you stayed up all night to finish a project that you were told about two weeks prior to this night. You have a couple options here, one you could hurry home and finish the project that way even if your tired the project will still be done. You could also stay with your friends and just find away to work around this tomorrow. The third option you have is to email your teacher and ask if you can turn it in late, and just get a couple point's reduced. This all is showing that you don't have to just make the lemonade when life hands you the lemonade.
