Moving Forward

First words on writing here inside this site. I wanted to explore and understand why widowers held onto the lasting memories of his or her former spouse. For instance I know of a lady who is in a relationship with one at this time. She has tried to become this mans
better half since meeting him. He has moved on in his relationship with her on a very slow basis. She has waited patiently for him to move onto the next part of their life together. This man has promised in his own words to move to a location together while getting married after this move. While this is an going promise , the relationship has come to a standstill in moving forward in growing.
The lady has decided to step out of this relationship.. She really has tried to talk with him and understand his views in a calm loving
manner to no avail. This gentleman side-steps her when she has sought answers from him. He loves her but is not ready to move on with her in marriage nor to start a life with her This lady has made plans to move out this month returning to her home town.
She has decided live her life with out this man. There are other ideas the woman has in mind for her future.
