The Scorpion Child

Maggie was born on September 12th, 1997. She lives in a small house in London, with her mom, dad, and her younger twin brothers. She goes to school, loves to draw, but doesn't have many friends. She sits by herself at lunch and draws instead of eats. After school, she sits under the willow tree, hidden behind the gym, takes out a book, and sits and reads for hours at a time. Then she runs home, just in time for dinner. Maggie repeats this schedule everyday. But one day, her life will change.
When the school bell rang, Maggie grabbed her things, sprinted out of the school, ran to her tree, and sat down. When she reached for her book, she felt something cold, something hard. Maggie pulled the mysterious object out of her bag. A scorpion necklace.
