A Leap Of Faith

He just wants to be normal, he just wants to be free. But his gift or... curse makes sure that never happens. In the beginning he didn't understand it, he didn't know what it was, he didn't know how to control it. The effect wasn't pretty, his him and his mom where fighting, got mad and suddenly the was a very sharp piece of metal sticking out of the side of her head. That was the first time they had found out about it. He was nine. A year later there was another incident at a grocery store.

His dad was arguing with a guy, he wasn't sure why, something about money, but all he knew is that he didn't like it. He was furious, and then all of a sudden there was a huge piece of metal sticking out of his head! Exactly the same thing that happened to his mother! Everyone started screaming, people were already on their phones calling the police. His dad acted fast he picked his son up in a cradle and ran to the car. He drove off to the nearest gun store, (which was 10 miles out of town) bought a 9mm pistol, and a bagful of ammo. In the distance he could hear sirens going in there direction.

The dad went back to the car only to find his son walking towards the police. The police were no more than 100 feet, when a huge sinkhole appears right in the way of the police cars! The police men jump out of the two separate cars they where driving, just in time to escape there doom. The two police men yell at them to stay put. Instead, the dad yells at Boone (the son) to get in the car. It was at this moment they knew they could never stop running.
