The destruction of the world and the aftermath at the hands of circus clowns.
[Introduction]
They came after the great fire. When they came, they came quickly. No one saw it coming. They came in numbers to large to control. One minute the world was on fire. The next minute Planet Earth was at their mercy.
They emerged stronger than a religion and more numerous than the largest army. The greatest of Earth's weapons were destroyed in the planetary fire. We had but sticks and rocks to fight.
Millions of us suffered second and third degree burns. When we walked our soles stuck to the ground. We walked among our dead like we were in barbeque. We were tired of fighting and dying.
The end of life as we know it, came quickly. The human race raised the white flag within moments of their invasion. They say that they are human like we are. They are not burnt like are. One of them said that they hid in the south and north poles centuries before. They claim to have persecuted by us for years. They rode the icebergs that melted as the planetary fire raised the temperature of the planet. They arrived on fire and ice to enslave and convert us.
In our moment of weakness, we were no match for their red rubber noses, orange hair, red painted smiles, and animal balloons. The end came with a red painted smile.
All our history of war and conquest meant nothing. Our experience in annihilation was no matter. We were conquered by clowns. Yes, those horrid creatures that only know one emotion: happiness. Clowns. Clowns. They came upon us squirting water from fake flowers from their costumes. The water was like acid to our charred and bloody bodies. We fell to the ground in agony.
Some of us were blasted with confetti. It was shrapnel to unprotected flesh. They told us to smile. It was for our good. They said happiness was stronger than any pain or fear that we had.
My neighbor pointed to his melted lips. A clown reached up with its hands and ripped opened my neighbor's lips. I will never forget the scream and blood flowing from his lips. The clown said smile and the pain will go away. My neighbor fell to his knees and did his best to smile. My neighbor let out a little fake smile. The clown helped my neighbor up and gave him a hug. The clown also gave my neighbor a kiss on his right cheek. Burned flesh peeled off my neighbors face.
A monster of clown approached me and told me to smile. My lips had been burned off in the great fire. I only had exposed teeth and charred gums.
The clown reached into his pocket and pulled out some lipstick. With one hand he grabbed the top my head and with the other, he ran the lipstick over my teeth and gums. I could feel the lipstick run over my burned facial nerves. I felt blood flow down my lower face and onto my body.
Smile. Laugh. Happiness is stronger than any pain or fear. I almost passed out form the pain. I tried my best to smile. The monster clown held on to me and helped me walk a few steps until my strength came back. He whispered in my left ear: Happiness will prevail.
That was day one of the end. One big fake, red smile marked the day.
