this is love.
[Introduction]
He was the best thing that had ever happened to me. His smile, his intellectual mind, and his nervousness around me are what made me fall for him. I melted inside every time he kissed or hugged me, and I felt so protected in his strong arms. He was modest, and didn’t think much of himself. He was taller than me but shorter than most, abs of steel which he and I always playfully argued about. He thought he was all fat. But the strong muscles on his arms proved he was wrong. He cared for me so well and never thought about himself, he always was looking after me. This one night I was incredibly tired and couldn’t stay awake. I needed to though because I felt terrible for leaving him. He wouldn’t let me stay awake with him though because he knew how much I needed the rest. We went back and forth but I was getting weaker by the second. Soon enough, he picked me up, lay me down on the couch, wrapped a blanket around me, and lay right next to me. He picked up his ipod and whispered the sweetest songs into my ear, as I could hear the music in the background. His voice cracked a few times and he got all the lyrics wrong, but no one had ever cared about me that much. No one had ever made me so happy inside, so amazing. I had never felt like that before, I didn’t even know what I was feeling. I was just so amazed to have found this boy. We have grown together so much. I looked at his trying face and smiled softly. A single tear went down my face. Soon, many others followed. I was anything but upset; I was the luckiest and happiest girl in the world. But I didn’t need to tell him that. He knew I felt safe and content. He started crying too. We both lay there snuggled up, singing our favourite slow songs, shedding tears in happiness. We didn’t need anything or anyone else in our lives. That moment was just meant for us. I think I’m falling in love.
