A hidden power brought them together, but would their hatred break them apart? Open. |
[Introduction] It is a time of great disillusionment and mistrust as the Kingdom of Twilight begins to crumble around the edges. The good King Thervon finds himself declining in health as guilt from long ago slowly eats away at his mind. Many things have come to a stop without his steady hand in leadership. Discord has brought the kingdom to the brink of another war. In order to save his kingdom, Thervon sends out his best knights to find the lost daughters of Twilight - girls who had no knowledge of their birthright. To fulfill the Legend of the Fallen Kings, these girls must unite in the people, reforging the bonds torn by the deaths of their fathers, and bring prosperity once more. However, off on the dark horizon stands an evil necromancer proclaiming herself queen, who will stop at nothing to gain the throne, including killing innocents who get in her path. The daughters must bridge the broken bonds of the kingdom, but can they fulfill the long forgotten prophesy without letting their hatred of each other get in the way? And will the brave knights be able to hold off the storm as their wards come into their powers? Can Twilight be mended? |+| |+| |+| |+| |+| The King's Men Abel - He is the youngest of the order, and in many ways the most dedicated to his task. Following in the steps of his fathers before him, Abel wishes to pay tribute to the honor of his name. While he still inexperienced in the battle field, he excels in learning quickly from all around him and gaining the trust of strangers. Thane - Has a dark reputation for being one of the king's secret assassins. While Thane refrains from speaking out of place, letting his face express his mood, he is one of the order's best teachers as he rarely has to repeat a command to his students twice. Lonewolf Hektor - While not the eldest of the group, Hektor has the most experience amongst most of the knights as he was orphaned by the last war. His biggest obstacle is doubt in his current life path, and he struggles with his dedication to the order. Brother to Eamon. Eamon - From observing him, you would guess that Eamon is a carefree man. Fond of the ladies and a good fistfight, he does his best to live in the moment. While his brother struggles outwardly, he keeps his troubles on the inside as to not bother others around him. Brother to Hektor. The Lost Daughters Jocelyn - As a girl was taken in as a servant to a small village's sickly patron. As Jocelyn grew older, she learned to run a household and care for her patron while helping the other villagers under the guise of her lady. She has a strong distaste for those accept responsibility for their actions, and place burdens on others to get out of work. What Jocelyn lacks in social graces, she makes up with a clever mind. LdyPhoenix Dawn - She was raised amongst the wood in the forests bordering the west of the kingdom by a widowed hunter. When he was killed in an accident when she was eight, Dawn took to living with the animals, making them her new family. Her little contact with the outside world has made her distrustful of other human beings. Wiskers Ysabel - Found by a traveling merchant and her husband after a village attack, Ysabel was taken in as a companion and overseer of the growing families twins. She is a natural teacher with warmth that can make even the most jaded of people smile. Her time before joining the family was spent mostly on the streets. That knowledge hasn't faded over time, simply refined with her charming smile. Zora - As a child she was known for her beauty, which has only flourished as she has grown older. Adopted by a lord and his wife who were unable to have children of her own, she has known only the finer things in life. Headstrong and vibrant, Zora is a natural-born leader, and is swayed by little that doesn't follow with her plans. The Warring Rulers Community Characters King Thervon -- The King is an older man with a graying beard and hair. His eyes are kind but troubled as he finds his days drawing closer to the end. Thervon was the youngest of five sons who had long since passed except for each leaving one child behind. He would never marry nor sire an heir. "Queen" Ursula -- A powerful woman of great beauty and seemingly ageless continence although she is at least as old as King Thervon, if not older. She lives atop a dark tower on the highest peak in the Twilight mountain. Dark fowl and crows are her greatest companions. |+|+|+|+|+| Author's Note: The feel I'm hoping for this campfire is not that of a typical fantasy story with a "knights and swords" atmosphere. If at all possible, I'd like this to have an urban fantasy quality mixed in with the usual medieval mindset. By all means, twist and turn your characters whichever way you wish, but if it is to be a big plot twist I ask that you drop me an email first just so I can have a head's up. There are no particular rules other than the usual - stick within the rating, don't kill off your fellow writers without asking first, and add within two to three weeks. This long add time is for the holiday season, and should people really get into it, will be shorten at a later date. No bios are necessary, but if it helps you find your character feel free. Try to add those details into your first couple of additions. There is a 1200 character minimum on adds. This is to give a fuller story. You can also write for more than one character if you wish.
