Rex sat at his table near the front of the room, The Committee was about to begin, it was early January and the notices had been sent out to all the new members, and all the them had arrived. Rex was sitting at his table with some of his other pals that were Junior members too. Mimi Force stood up to begin the meeting. She began explaining how they were vampyre and drank human blood, la da dah, invincible except to those amoung us, blah blah, the young ones were begining to change in to full blue bloods. Then she went on to Rex's favorite part. She clapped and the lights turned off, she, along with the rest of the blue bloobs began to glow. The were several screams, some jumps, a little of everything. She then said,"Our blood is living within us, so it allows us to see each other even when there is no light." Then she began with the symptoms of the change, faint dizziness, hunger for raw food, the noticable blue vein patterns in their arms. After tons of nodding from the newbies Mimi began how we were once angels and came down from hell with Luciferm and now we are imortal. The last thing she said was, " How many of you have aqquired a dog within the last year?" Everyone raise their hand. "How many of you have a Blood Hound?" Only one raised their hand. Rex infact had a Saluki. Bloodhounds were the most important and showed power. Rex had never been envious of them. Mimi went on," They are your animal familiars, they are a crucial part in protecting you during your transforming years." Soon after that the meeting was over, Rex had left as soon as he could and went upstairs to Block 122 to party. |
Gisele sat in her favorite corner of the book store, reading. She liked to laugh at how deftly the humans perceived vampires, as they called the Blue Bloods. And that was where her grandfather found her. "What are you reading? More of that human drabble?" he asked gruffly. Gisele closed her book with a sigh. "Yes," Her grandfather couldn't understand and therefore didn't like it when Gisele read that "frivolous poppycock" as he called it. "Well, you better pack up. Your mother needs help in the kitchen. Gisele fought the urge to laugh. Help her in the kitchen? More like save them from eating charcoal. For some reason Gisele was the only one in the family who could cook properly. her grandfather might no how, but he always refused to cook, but Gisele's mother couldn't even boil water the right way. Gisele made her way p to the flat above the bookstore where she, her mother, her grandfather, and her younger twin siblings lived. Upon her entry, she was tripped by a small stuffed bear. Gisele sighed and tossed the bear in a corner. "Oh, Gisele!" her mother called hurriedly from the other room. "There's things for pizza on the counter!" Gisele nodded to herself. A few months earlier and she would have laughed at her mother- back when they didn't yet have an oven. Gisele made her way to the kitchen without impaling herself and started on dinner. |

Rex bolted up out of bed. He was drenched in a cold sweat. He quickly threw on some sweat pants and walked outside to his families penthouse home. With the cold hardly bothering him, he gazed at the Met from across the street. "Tommorow will be crazy." he said. Tuesdays always were. From school, to a polo meet, then to an appointment with Armani for his suit for the 400 year ball, the biggest event of the year. As new junior member he would be presented this year at the ball. The only problem was he didn't have a date... Instead of contemplating on a date Rex began meditation, he began looking back at his past lives. The farthest he could go so far was Leonardo Di Vinci. But tonight was different, he looked back farther than that, all the way to Rome, and the battle against Lucifer, supposadly the banishment of the Croatans. He saw the battle take place in the begining of the Vatican. Then it all stopped, it was blank, as if his life had begun their. 'that is impossible,' Rex thought,'we should be able to see to when we were banished from heaven.' ((btw everyone, the teen Blue Bloods should not have jobs like working at a bookstore, the are rich from years and years of living and coming back. But stuff like actors and models are good because they are the best looking people in the world. And we need some younger Blue Bloods who are going through the sunset years. if you have any questions research the book, or ask me questions)) |
Gisele didn't sleep well that night. The street noises seemed louder than usual, and she kept glancing at the place where she kept her photo album. Well, technically it was her mother's, from the years before she was disowned from the rest of their Blue Blood relatives. For some reason, it seemed there was either something someone wasn't telling her, or there was something weird that would happen soon. |
The doors to Botti's flew open with a cold burst of wind. The patrons of the art gallery stopped everything they were doing to look the disturbance, but Norah was far beyond caring. She was livid. Spotting her mother in the corner with one of her assistants perusing through an art book to add to the collection, Norah set her sights on the petite, regal looking woman with fire burning in her green eyes. "Mother," Norah said loudly, only to be stopped when her mother held up a dainty finger to give her assistant the last few instructions, the pearl bracelet around her wrist disappearing into the sleeve of her tailor-made red suit. When her mother finished, she turned to her wayward daughter with a business-like expression on her face and her arms crossed firmly over her chest. Norah knew that look well and mimicked her mother in stance. There was no way she was going to be seen squirming. "Yes, Norah. What can I do for you today?" "Was it you and Father that stopped shipment on the new vinyl for the store?" Norah's mother arched a scalped brow. "Me, of course. The record store was suppose to be an amusement for you not your whole life. Your father and I have barely seen you in weeks." "Maybe if you weren't gone so much you'd see more of me!" Norah clenched her fists as she took a deep breath. Losing her cool would not get her business back under control. "You gave me Sonic Rebel as a gift. Where do you have the right to meddle in my business?" "I did it to get your attention, Norah." Her mother unfolded her arms and motioned her daughter to her office. Her red Manolo Blahniks clicked steadily across the gallery's hardwood floors as Norah followed in her beat-up Converse. When they were secure in the office with the door closed firmly behind them, Norah's mother took a seat at her polished desk looking every bit the executive she was. "You've been ignoring your duties, Norah, but no more. In order to get your shipment on time you must attend the 400 Year Ball." "But Mother-" Her mother held up a hand to stop her. "But nothing. You are a Blue Blood and you most accept your position. I will not have you ruining the family name." She walked over to the customized closet as large as most apartment living rooms and selected a Versace garment bag from the clothing rod. "This was made especially for you. Once you've attended the Ball the shipment will go on as scheduled." Norah crushed the garment bag between her fingers. This was insane! She had been a queen once. Royalty. She shouldn't be treated like this. But looking at her mother's turned down face over a stack of business memos, Norah knew there was no winning the situation. In order to get Sonic Rebel, her pride and joy, back up and running again she'd have to give into the ridiculous demands. Even if the thought of rubbing elbows with Mimi Force and her sycophants made her skin crawl. "As you wish, Mother." Norah replied with gritted teeth. "Gatinho," her mother called to her in Portuguese as she headed towards the door. "Your father will be home for dinner. Make sure to make an appearance." Norah nodded once before walking briskly out of the office, out of Botti's, onto the busy streets of Manhattan. You are a Blue Blood and you most accept your position. The words repeated themselves over and over through her head. She did her best not to scream. |
"Sir?" Momentarily taking his eyes off the tv of his elaborate million dollar home in Northern California that was being shown on the news because of its purchase, and for the fact that he was having it torn down, and rebuilt to his liking. Cristian looked at his assassiant angrily for the disturbance, it was his first day off from doing two movies back to back; There can be only one: A Highlander Movie, and Take a walk in my shoes, a romantic movie he just finished with Reese Witherspoon as his leading lady. "What? I thought I said I didn't want to be disturbed, unless the world was coming to an end!" Cristian snapped, watching his assissant wince as he finshed. "I-I'm sorry sir I was just coming to remind you that you have to go the 400 year ball." she stuttered. "Damn it! Will I never get a day off?" Cristian asked. "I-I don't know sir." "That was a rhetorical question, you nimrod." "Call my tailor and have something made special for me, then make arrangements for my arrival there." Cristian ordered, turning back to the tv with disgust. "Oh, and Sir , that book store that you go to from time to time called, and said that they're ready to sell it to you." "Excellent, you know Susie remind me also to give you a raise I don't deserve you, you know that?" "Yes sir, I will sir." Susie said hurridly as she left Cristian to his down time. Blah, the 400 Year ball, I know my mother and father will be there, this is bound to be interesting. I can't wait to throw it in their faces when they find out I have the book store. Cristian thought, as he smiled to himself, and flipped through channels on TV looking for one of his movies. |
Gisele awoke to the smell of breakfast. Odd. Very odd. She got out of bed and went into the kitchen. Her mother was setting a pan of store bought cinnamon rolls onto the table and her grandfather was having his usual tea. The twins were nowhere to be found. her mom looked up and caught sight of her and smiled wide. "Hello sweetie! How did you sleep?" Gisele raise an eyebrow. Ok, who are you and what have you done with my mother, she thought. She sat down and took a cinnamon roll. It was a nice change from Froot Loops. "Gisele, dear, uh, guess what? The 400 year ball is coming up," hr mom blurted out. Gisele almost choked. "What? No! Mom, don't make me go!" she cried. Her mom gave an exasperated sigh. Grandpa shook his head slightly. "I told you this was going to happen," he said. "Gisele," her mom said, pointedly ignoring him. "Please. You have to go," she said. "Why?" Gisele cried. "Why can't you go?" she asked. "I have to take care of the twins." Gisele slumped in her chair. She dreaded the 400 year ball. She loathed it. She would have to see her cousins again. Rich pretty stuck up snobby things, probably with more dates hanging off their arms than last year. "What will I wear?" she mumbled. "Oh, Gisele thank you dear!" she said. "You can wear my old wedding dress. I'll show it to you after we eat. So they did, in silence, Gisele being in a darkened mood. |
Norah slammed her locker with more force than necessary as the bell for last period rang. In a swarm of the same blue plaid and white school uniforms, it was hard to pick one person from another. That is if you weren't a Blue Blood. "So," a male Latin voice said from behind her. "How did things go with mother dearest?" Norah tired her best to stifle a chuckle. She wanted to hold on to her mad for as long as possible even if her best friend wouldn't let her. "As you suspected, Carlos. I get control of Sonic Rebel back if I attend the 400 Year Ball." "Fabulous." Her gave her his award winning smile, his good looks shining like a spot light. "Now I get to say I told you so." "Not if you enjoy using your knee caps." "Tsk. Such repressed anger." Norah did her best to walk away, preferably toward her last class and away from Carlos, but his long legs beat the distant she put between them easily. "So... who are you going with?" "Good grief, I don't know. I'm skill getting over the fact I have to wear a pink dress, let alone find a date to this horror fest." Norah stopped suddenly in her tracks, pointing a finger in Carlos's face. "If you say one word about the pink dress..." Carlos threw his hands up in surrender. "I swear, I won't." He chuckled slightly. "At least not until the night of the Ball." |
Damn, why does it take women so long to get themselves dressed? Cristian sat waiting in the foyer of the women's home who he would be taking to the 400 year ball, and he was not in a good mood. First, his limo that he had Susie order for him to be picked up in did not arrive on time it was 3 minutes late. He let the driver know that he would be calling the company to let them know that if he was not happy with their business, and also that he would not be using their services after this night's event. Looking at his watch he saw that it was already 7:15, and he had been there since 7 p.m. The ball started at 8, but he had to make a grand entrance, but she is taking so long. The only reason he was putting up with her is so that he ensured that he was going to be getting lucky after everything was over. "It's a pity that, that's all she's good for, but what is one to do?" Cristian sighed to himself. "Cristian, I'm sorry I kept you waiting." A woman said emerging from a door at the atop of very steep spirl stair case looking absolutely stunning. She had her long beautiful black hair layered in such a fashion that it gleamed like there were gems through it. Her greenish brown eye's sparkled with life while her face was adorned with light make up because he didn't need all the much to have a perfected beauty. The dress she wore was Jade green, it went perfect with her beautiful eyes, the dress she wore hugged her curves like nothing Cristian had ever seen. Her light brown skin complexion seemed to be glowing as she walked down the stairs knowing that she looked damn good. As much as Cristian wanted to complain about how she kept him waiting he just seemed to lose all thought about what he had planned to say to her about it when she finally stepped in front of him looking up into his eyes. He could only think about how much he loved she was shorter then he was so that he could just lean down to kiss her, which he did light and delicately. "We really need to get to the ball, it'll be starting at 8 right? Sorry I kept you waiting, I just wanted to get my hair just right." She said, grabbing a shal that Cristian had not noticed before that matched the dress she was wearing perfectly. "Uh..yeah." He replied, that being the only thing he could think of to say. Then found his voice, and said, "Samantha, you're looking very beautiful tonight." "Thank you, though should thank Susie for helping pick out this dress for me. She said something about green being your favorite color." Samantha said, giving him a slight wink. I really need to give Susie a raise. Cristian thought, as he walked Samantha out to the car watching her every movement as he walked behind her, and she knew it. |
