I did the same thing, that is downgraded my membership. I remember the trouble with pictures from the last time around, so I post them on Facebook. Hadn't thought about leaving a link, but that's a good idea. These days I only have pictures of the fog and my cats and dog, so I guess I'm not in a hurry. I'll be glad to see yours though, wherever they are.
I was able to post photos to my portfolio, but just can't insert them into my blog. I might have to do what you do Scarlett and create an off sight album and link to it.
I'm not going anywhere for at least a year. I have a paid 'upgraded' membership that doesn't expire until Jan of 2014. Just have to figure out the best way to do the pictures !!!
The picture thing is very frustrating. You can't do albums without the premium membership, but you can add pictures. The difficult thing is that you have to make each photo a separate album in your portfolio and then you have to worry about space limits in the portfolio. I tried to keep a garden journal on the site a few years ago and ran into the same troubles.
I'm really disappointed that I can't post pictures any more. I had a whole photo story to go along with my blog. We use to be able to add photos, but now you need a $100 PREMIUM membership to do so.
Special Kay... I always root for Bo when I see him run off with a hen !!
Chanon... Usually when they are a few months old, you can start to tell. The roosters will start growing larger combs.
Scarlett... I love watching our chickens, they are so funny. When I walk out the door every morning, they come running and they look like little dinosaurs the way they run. Also love to lay and listen to the roosters crowing early in the morning.
Oh CC..... It's really neat to hatch these eggs out and watch the chicks pip out of the shells. They are such wet and ugly little things at first. But once they dry off and fluff up, they are so dang cute !!!
Mel, David told me but I wanted to stop in here. I am so heartbroken for you and your son and his family. Be sure to allow yourself the grieving process.
Lots of love and good thoughts are coming from here.
