Wonderful poem that links footprints to bits and pieces of our memories over the years.
As we get older, we do leave a mark behind - footprints if you will - and even as they fade away, they'll always linger and be a reminder of what we once were.

I figure you get one chance
in life’s rotating dance
to win the lottery
and even that is spottery.
I had my chance when young
though I do not think I sung
and in my desolation
ten quid was no consolation.
