Tuesday, December 17 Seasons The season swings around quite operatic in the muted hues of autumn so dramatic and baritone sounds of distant thunder bring threats to rip our summer peace asunder. So winter steps once more upon the stage as Earth turns quite icily her orbital page and thoughts turn to another promised year when spring will paint the skies so bright and clear. Weather When the storm builds and lightning strikes it’s not hard to feel a stirring, the blood racing and mind alert, perhaps the braver minds preferring. While the quiet times do lull and shine, the sun in heaven smiling and peace abounds in heart and mind, till fog’s blanket wraps with sleep beguiling. A Song of Lost Marbles Marbles! I lost mine years ago, not figuratively but in reality (flirtation with insanity a thing of later, teenage years), and those bright, cold globes of clear glass shot through with colour, obsession to some, for others a game, fed my nascent collective drive.
