As usual these days, I choose blog format because it offers more space for the work.

Cinnamon

The thing about cinnamon,
it comes from the bark of a tree -
it feeds my inner mom,
and makes me happy to be.

The thing that is even stranger,
though probably not to blame,
a dog’s bark will warn of danger,
and is certainly not the same.
