| Friday March 29, 2024 10:45 am I opened a book in my portfolio strictly for Blog City and Blogging Circle of Friends prompt entries.
I must tear myself away from WDC to work on other projects. If you blink here you are sure to miss something. If I did not mention it, I was so excited about my Quill awards. And I still have not come down from cloud 9 about my yellow case. I almost hated to put a costumicon on, but it looked so blank. I have played the piano since I was 4 so the one I picked is perfect. |

| Saturday March 23, 2024 1:10 pm I apologize my dear blog, I have forsaken you for a while. Please don't take it personally. I have been crazy busy. I completed a college class with a 12 slide PowerPoint presentation and essay. Here is my feedback from the teacher: this is one of the best projects of the class. Your speaking portion shows your preparation and how you professionally handle a true training class. It is kind of like you may have done this before (smile). You have your points, designed slides, in-text references and activities. This went into my personal happy file, like the one you see in my Happy Book folder. Then to hear about the Quills I was awarded, right after getting the yellow case that I never in a billion years saw coming, was amazing. To commemorate the Quills event I posted my trinket I created on the newsfeed. (Trinkets require an Upgrade to display.) I will not meet my goal of the number of days I check in to Habit Heroes. | Blogging Circle of Friends Prompt March 13, 2024 Thursday   Who celebrates Pi Day? Every year on March 14, math fanatics and food lovers unite to celebrate Pi Day, a holiday that's dedicated to the lengthy mathematical number that most people abbreviate to 3. 14.. What's your favorite pie? Do you bake them yourself? Or go for the premade pies at the store? This is the first I have heard of Pi Day. I have no aptitude for math. None. Zip. Zero. I have to take two math classes to earn my bachelor's degree by August. I don't know if I will be able to accomplish that. My overwhelming favorite pie is lemon meringue. I don't see it advertised. We got ours at a chain restaurant named Village Inn.. My mother-in-law made this pie from scratch. She whipped up those pies in no time flat. The real lemons were always just sour enough that the taste was soothed by the firm meringue. I miss her pies almost as much as I miss her. |

| Wednesday March 13, 2024 3:00 pm I received a couple of wonderful emails in reply to reviews I wrote. Knowing my work is appreciated and, better than that, knowing I made a positive impact on someone's day is music to my ears. It is no secret I reviewed telephone transactions for almost 20 years. In my heyday I reviewed about 300 calls a month. That involved writing it and then meeting one-on-one with the representative which took huge chunks out of my day. Even a poor interaction had some sliver of positive. I think of the song the bears sing at Disneyland where you accentuate the positive. I am feeling good. Nervous about the selection for Quill reviewer of the year, not expecting to win since I was actively reviewing starting around May 2023. I have a school Power Point presentation to prepare in the next 5 days. I will be signing off frequently to attend to that project. |
| Tuesday March 12, 2024 7:00 pm Some discussion about blogging here went on yesterday. Before there was a newsfeed, I understood blogs were the communication conduit. I was anxious to have my own blog apart from the blogs I have away from this site. I started having recurring topics like Trivia Tuesday, for example. I did not go with that. I love knowing random facts about people, places, and things. I did not follow through with that. I don't share much personal information. Anything I write is visible somewhere. Out of the blue, I received an email from my RAOK group with a blog prompt. I have written on some, but not all prompts. I am weary of that or at least most of the prompts don't interest me. My goal is to write here at least 3 times a week. It may be more or less. I have in mind to visit and note more blogs than in the past. No target number which I like not adding any pressure. I thought about writing a poem about March and threw caution to the wind and tried to come up with a short one with short syllables in 3 lines each. I don't know if it is a poetry type but it was very much a challenge to get it just right. Filler Month It’s the filler Between cold And hot. It’s the wettest Of the year Warm not. It’s too chilly For swimming Silly. It’s cookout time Grilling steaks Sublime. Because at night Coals are red Just right. March has a vibe Inviting you To thrive. |
