For whatever reason, when I am given a prompt to use specific words in my blog entry, I make up a very short story with no planning and little editing. I must have been in a coma when the training on how to write from prompts was taught. All I had to do was curl my hair, go to class, and learn the reason for the word prompt type. If I checked even half of the literature available on how to respond to word prompts, I would determine that the way I just used the prompt is also okay. Whew! What would prevent one from writing a piece, and then selecting words that had already been included as words in the prompt? Would that be cheating or creative? |
