This is the first blog entry for me. Hopefully I will get it right, or at least head in that direction.
I am enjoying this community immensely. I have found a few kindred souls, and so far everyone has been welcoming. I am enjoying reviewing other's work. I hope to learn as I go from the reviews of my work. It is fun to see other's points of view, and inspires me to try to do my best.
I am looking forward to my journey here on Writing.com
May 1, 2023 Update: I am using this blog as a place for my Take Up Your Cross, Andre's Blogging Challenges, Blogging Circle of Friends, and Welcome to My Reality (as you can probably see from the titles)
A wonderful poem! But you forgot June—April showers, May Flowers, June bugs... (Meaning both the increase in insects and the dreaded big beetles that rattle the screens)
It is sad that people don't understand the purpose of that little lever on the left of the steering column. They don't use it to signal turns or to dim lights; do they think it's just for hanging an extra ponytail holder or perhaps for decoration?
I too am recovering from the time change; it usually takes me a couple f weeks. I really wish they would just stop messing with our internal clocks.
TUYC? Excellent post. Been feeling the time change myself. I told my pastor Sunday morning after the service. “The hard part’s over, getting through the service. Now, we get to see later sunsets.” However, Sunday & Monday were overcast and cold. Didn’t get to enjoy a later sunset, until last night…on Tuesday.
May The Lord keep us safe this weekend throughout the storm.
I relate well with all you've written today, but I have to admit this year I don't think I'll be springing forward. More likely I'll just kind of sag ahead.
As for birthdays, I have one arriving in May. I think someone made a typo on my birth certificate, however, they typed in 1961 instead of 1971. At least I don't look or feel (or act) my age.
Good luck with finding something to add some adventure. I'm hoping to get in more hiking with the dogs this year, as well as a lot more time out in the kayak. It seems the fresh air and exercise do really motivate a person. If you didn't live so far, I'd invite you along.
