This is the first blog entry for me. Hopefully I will get it right, or at least head in that direction.
I am enjoying this community immensely. I have found a few kindred souls, and so far everyone has been welcoming. I am enjoying reviewing other's work. I hope to learn as I go from the reviews of my work. It is fun to see other's points of view, and inspires me to try to do my best.
I am looking forward to my journey here on Writing.com
May 1, 2023 Update: I am using this blog as a place for my Take Up Your Cross, Andre's Blogging Challenges, Blogging Circle of Friends, and Welcome to My Reality (as you can probably see from the titles)
I am not fond of heights but my granddaughter talked/ nagged me into it. I loved it once I got in the air. I've gone 4 times since the first time I went.
My dad was always talking about how some people miss heaven by 18 inches. It's easy to say you believe, but it's not always easy to walk the walk if you know what I mean. I think we all struggle with this from time to time as our flesh wars against the spirit.
Boston drivers are horrid. My husband cries about them whenever we go to Boston. (Mind, you it's not often, but when we do...) Nothing like ooey gooey pizza to finish a day off right!
I drove a couple of times in Chicago, I agree your dad is a saint. I've driven in a lot of major cities Washington D.C, Boston, Hartford, NY city, Baltimore, St. Louis, Kansas City, LA and the two cities I hated were Chicago and Boston. The drivers are so impatient. And I found the frequency of tolls going into Chicago ridiculous, just have one and charge a larger amount instead of a bunch of small tolls.
