One of our members of Writing.com found a poem similar to my "placid silence". Here is my poem. I wrote about the Atlantic ocean. Placid Silence Along the black sand expanse, the waves lap placidly at my toes. The clouds descend in a thick white fog that hides me from view. The misty droplets begin to condense on my skin, running down in rivulets, soaking my hair and clothing I smell salt in the air, feel the breeze chilling me with my damp clothing, the black crystals crunch under my feet. I feel like I am the only person alive, and that pleases me. Gratitude for the water, sand, and fog fills me and I am at peace. https://www.writing.com/main/view_item/item_id/2261796-placid-silence) This other author wrote one called "Tranquility: A walk on the beach." They wrote about the Pacific ocean: Here is the poem that that author wrote. Tranquility: A Walk on the Beach I remember a walk on along Pacific Ocean beach on a summer day. I wadded in the surf, listening to the distance echoes of other beach goers. I inhaled the salty perfume of the ocean that filled my soul with tranquility. Interesting, Huh. |
