Take UP Your Cross Prompt: Proverbs 3:13-18 13 Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. 14 For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold. 15 She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her. 16 Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour. 17 Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. 18 She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her. This is what Solomon thought about wisdom and understanding and the value of it. What do you think about wisdom and understanding? Answer: Wisdom and understanding go hand in hand. It is useless to have one without the other. You can have all the knowledge in the world and it will do you no good without the wisdom, understanding, and common sense to use it properly. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ PROMPT May 24th Write about a movie or television show you watched recently that blew you away. What lessons can you learn from the show and incorporate into your own writing? I am a writer. I don't watch a lot of movies or tv. I would rather be the entertainment than being entertained. I would rather be doing than sitting and watching the lives of others as my own life passes me by. I don't condemn those who do. This is just my personal opinion. This is a part of who I am. It has been several months since I watched a movie that had an impact on me. I think the last time this happened was when I purposely took a movie day, I do on rare occasions. I watched the first 2 God's Not Dead movies and loved them. They were thought provoking. Do you really believe in God, and are you willing to make sacrifices for Christ like he sacrificed his life for you? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This is the link to the group I do these Scripture writings with on Facebook if anyone else is interested in doing so also. https://www.facebook.com/groups/dailyscripturewritingplan/?ref=share Scripture writing - Psalm 37:12-17 Scripture: 12 The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth. 13 The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming. 14 The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation. 15 Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken. 16 A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked. 17 For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the Lord upholdeth the righteous. Observations: Verse12- wicked people plot against good people. Verse 13- The Lord laughs at the wicked because their day of judgement is coming. Verse 14- The wicked attempt to follow through with their wicked plots. Verse 15- Their will be caught by their own snares and injured by their own sword because they plot against the righteous. Verse 16- Even if the righteous only have a few possessions, it is better than having many riches as a wicked person. Verse 17- The Lord upholds the righteous but the wicked will suffer because of their evil works. Application: The Lord preserves the righteous, but the wicked are destroyed. Prayer: Dear God, Deliver us from evil. Help us to remember the end of the wicked when they are doing well and seem to be getting away with everything. In Jesus’s name, Amen ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Gratitude List 1. Writing 2. Sleep 3. Warm food 4. Comfort of home 5. It is a decision.” Paolo Coelho How do you feel about the idea of repeated mistakes being decisions? Have you ever done such mistake-decisions in a repeated manner, and what do you think caused it? It depends on the mistake. Sometimes they turn into lapses in judgment. A friend of mine and I joke about ex boyfriends being lapses in judgement, aka bad decisions. However, some repeated mistakes are results of habits which are hard to break. An example of this would be someone trying to stop cussing and accidentally repeatedly slips up. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Prompt: I was cruising the galaxy with Yoda and found this planet: Beck hibernates in winter (216) Read this item:
Write about this item in your Blog entry today. I think this is a funny poem. I like it. There have been many poems written about memory loss and old age. It is a part of life. Why not laugh at the funny parts. I get brain fog sometimes and I wouldn't put some of these things past myself sometimes. I am always laughing at my own bloopers. How about the day I brewed a fresh pot of filtered water? I put the filter in and all, but forgot the coffee. 🤔 Or you go in to cook dinner and forget to turn the burner on and wander what is taking your food so long to cook. 😂 Yes, brain fog and memory loss are just lovely things.🤪 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Day 3111: May 24, 2021 Prompt: "I suddenly realised that coincidence is a word we use when we are ignorant of the real causes." - Albert Salvadó I don't agree. We can know the cause and still think something is a coincidence. Sometimes irony happens on it's own. For example, two families decide to have pizza for dinner on the same night and don’t realize it until afterwards. Both mother’s planned it ahead of time for convenience, the cause. It is a coincidence and completely by chance the two families had the same meal. One could have planned frozen dinners, but they didn't. This is my opinion.

Take UP Your Cross Prompt: Proverbs 3:25-26 25 Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh. 26 For the Lord shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken. What is the desolation of the wicked? What does this mean? Answer: I believe the desolation of the wicked is the destruction or judgement of the wicked. Even when something happens that causes us to be suddenly afraid, we can trust God to protect us when our heart is right with him. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ PROMPT May 26th Make a list of your top five short term goals and a separate list of your top five long term goals. What steps will you take to achieve them? This prompt made me daydream. Lol I don't know why I have such a struggle setting and reaching goals, but it honestly is not easy for me. I get sidetracked and distracted a lot. I sometimes feel overwhelmed by all the things I feel like I need and want to do. I have a hard time keeping focused. My best friend always teases me when she sees I have gotten sidetracked once again. She says, “1,2,3 squirrel!” lol I will joke back and say something like, “Man! Did you see the big fluffy tail on that one?” Yeah, so I get distracted easily. I have always been a daydreamer. Short-term goals are a bit easier than long-term ones. Let's see if I can name 5 of each. Short: 1. Get my crafts where I can set them up for sell on Facebook/online. 2. Finish the sewing alternations on the pants. 3. Get the kitchen clean already! (I’d rather be here on WDC) 4. Do laundry. 5. Write a story for the Writing for Kids contest for May Plan to accomplish? Make like Nike and just do it! Long: (This is really where I struggle) 1. Get about 2 or 2 weeks ahead in writing, the Bible Studies. Plan: write 1 extra Bible study every other week until this is accomplished. 2. Make money off my crafts rather it is for income or just for Hobby. Plan: Get more aggressive with my selling strategy. List pictures of them online. 3. Write a book rather it is published or not, preferably published. Plan:Write a chapter a month. 4. Read my study Bible, study notes and all. Plan: Read at least 1 chapter a day with the notes associated with it. 5. Figure out the diet plan that works for me and stick to it. Plan: Have a discussion with my doctor and take it from there. Ok, we will see how this works out for me. At least I put forth an effort. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To read is to voyage through time." Carl Sagan Do you agree with this quote? Write about this in your Blog entry today. It is often said that when you read a book, it takes you to another time and place. When I was a teenager and in a miserable situation, reading was my escape from reality. I would read a lot of fiction to escape my reality. It was therapeutic for me. So I have to say, yes, I agree. When we read the stories of the Bible, even though translated into our language, we are reading from over 2,000 years ago. Some of the earliest New Testament manuscripts were written within the 1st and 2nd century after Christ died. The old testament writings date back to before Christ. I find that quite interesting. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Prompt: I was cruising the galaxy and found this planet Angel (185) Read this item:
Write about frogs today from this poem. Frogs are cold natured. If you have ever held one, I think they feel weird. I like to see them hopping around in nature. Sometimes it is interesting to go out at night and listen to the frogs and the crickets all doing their thing. If it weren't for the pesky mosquitoes, it could be relaxing I think. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Day 3113: May 26, 2021 Prompt: “One must always be careful of books," said Tessa, "and what is inside them, for words have the power to change us.” ― Cassandra Clare, Clockwork Angel What do you thing? Has a book ever changed you? Well, the Bible definitely has power to change people. I know there are others to. Yes, I have been changed by a Book or two. The Bible is one that has changed my life for the better. When I read a book about personal boundaries, this was a life-changer too. It taught me how to set healthy boundaries especially in toxic situations. There have been others too that I just can’t think of right off the top of my head at the moment. They will come to me in a day or two when I no longer need them to answer this question. Lol
