CHRISTMAS 2024

Merry Christmas! We had cake and ice cream, but no one really felt like doing anything else. We had talked about watching Christmas movies of playing some video games or something, but none of that happened. Everyone seems to have a cold of something today. We all pretty much just stayed in bed and relaxed. I had hoped to have more of a birthday celebration for Jesus, but I don't think anyone else in the house had the same idea as I did. Oh well, I tried. Maybe next year will go better. 2023 and 2024 have been a couple of rough years. Next week starts 2025. I am definitely hoping for a better year. I guess without the rough years, we wouldn't appreciate the good years as much though. I guess such is life.

Blog Prompt: Write about birthday celebrations and how your Christmas celebration is different or similar to your own birthday celebration or that of friends and loved ones.

Answer: We all know that when we celebrate our own birthdays, other people wish us a Happy Birthday and give us gifts. Normally, people give each other gifts for Christmas. Each of us celebrate them in our own way. We may go out to eat for our birthday or do something special. On Christmas, most of us focus on getting together with family and some of us have special holiday meals.

Prayer prompt: Pray for those who are missing loved ones this holiday season.

Dear God,
Please be with those missing loved ones this time of year and those that feel lonely. Help them to not feel so alone. Reveal your presence to them.
