Ten years ago I was writing several blogs on various subjects - F1 motor racing, Music, Classic Cars, Great Romances and, most crushingly, a personal journal that included my thoughts on America, memories of England and Africa, opinion, humour, writing and anything else that occurred. It all became too much (I was attempting to update the journal every day) and I collapsed, exhausted and thoroughly disillusioned in the end.
So this blog is indeed a Toe in the Water, a place to document my thoughts in and on WdC but with a determination not to get sucked into the blog whirlpool ever again. Here's hoping.
Congratulations on launching your blog! I really like the name of your blog. Right now, you may just be dipping your toes in and testing the waters, but I hope that one day you’ll be able to swim freely in the vast ocean. 🌊✨
I was the first person to mention this on the newsfeed... just saying.
I tend to blog every day and comment somewhere every day. Some of my blogs are based on comments I've made elsewhere. It can be easier to just comment.
That’s fine with me… I don’t want to clog up my music blog with daily micro posts, and I don’t have the focus or energy or desire to write a music essay a day, but I don’t mind cluttering up other people’s micro blogs with micro comments
Likewise. The question is whether this comment business is going to keep me from blogging for myself? My high dudgeon moments always occur far from the keyboard.
I was doing good blogging everyday until this head cold messed me up. I'm not sure why, but it's making any type of writing difficult including what to write in comments.
I enjoy the challenge. Only when medical and weather-related challenges occur do I struggle to get the minimum accomplished.
Safe travels and many blessings.
The visiting badge is the only one I can manage. The others I don't bother with if it feels like cheating. Though if my badges have ever aligned, it's only a coincidence.
I had the same thought about coordination, but mine are all scattered now and I am not sure I can commit. I might try to blog but that's a dangerous path because I have far too much to say.
The previous post was suggested by the arrival of the 7-day merit badge, of course. So, in a way, this one is the first post in a new era. And yet another occasion for me to feel guilty about posting so brief and inconsequential a post as this merely to cross off the day.
