Random musing about life, and stuff
It is a Wednesday, some months ago. We are in a Cell Center. It is Ironic, because "the centre cannot hold". Props to Yeats; his Second Coming came in 1919. Some of us are still waiting for our first.

I am thinking of Tony Robbins. Anybody remember this guy? He of the NLP, strolls over hot coals, and inspirational quotes?

“There is a powerful driving force inside every human being that, once unleashed, can make any vision, dream, or desire a reality.” - Tony Robbins

Ah, the power of Positive Thinking, and the pain of fire… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LfYtHbmI-NI

Tony would have something to say about bad call center puns, and probably talk about his screen debut in Shallow Hall.

Hey…who are you? Why are you here? Well, I guess it doesn't matter. I'm about to go on break. Come get a coffee with me…. The break room is on the corner, with a great views of the mountains and snow. Pull up a chair.

Well reader, here we are. Coffee (hopefully the way you like it), a snowy mountain vista, and fifteen minutes to kill. So, as the Gestapo agent said to Marion Ravenwood, "Now…what shall we talk about?"

Silly dramatics aside, I just wanted to introduce myself. Many people claim performers are always loud and gregarious, but that is only occasionally true. Mike Meyers once described himself as "[a] site-specfic extrovert", and I think that fits.

Many of the entries here (or on social media generally) appear magically fearless; people sharing private thoughts, personal events, and bearing genuine feelings. That just seems wild to me.

Clerk: Can I help you, sir?
Me: Yes, I'd like to try on one of those social masks, please.
Clerk: Of course, sir. Which were you interested in?
Me: (Pointing)
Clerk: Ah…yes - um, I'm sorry..Are pointing to the Clown or the Witty Blogger mask? Both are very popular.
Me: Well, now that I think about it…do you have anything that combines both…? Maybe with a touch of Snarky and Mysterious thrown in?

Masks can obfuscate, but also draw attention away from unimportant details. Everybody has something to say. Most hope what they say will be interesting enough for others to read or listen to. Some, although too few in my opinion, even dare to dream something they say might be useful.

Maybe you've seen me perform. Maybe I've bought a latte from you. Or perhaps I've completed a transaction for you, barely holding together in my call center. I am anybody. The mask just hides the unimportant details. I have something to say. Hopefully most of it is interesting. Some of it might even be useful.

I may be mediocre, but so are we all. Isn't that brilliant?
