This is a book for those diagnosed with BPD to give them knowledge and hope. You can do it!
Letter from the Author

For those of you who do not know me my name is Marie DiMauro. I am a fifty year old woman who was diagnosed in September of 2017 with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). I was seeing a therapist for one year when I received the diagnosis. In the beginning, my Primary Care Physician (PCP) was treating me for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Depression, Panic Disorder, and Severe Anxiety Disorder. I kept bouncing from therapist to therapist because I was missing appointments.

I am now diagnosed with BPD, Complex PTSD-latent onset (CPTSD), and Major Depressive Disorder (MDD). I am in the stages of Peri-Menopause (PM) as well so my hormones are all over the place.

The purpose for me writing this book is to share my story and what I do for healing to try to give others diagnosed with BPD a spark of hope and a few tools that may work in their own healing process. It is helping me to help myself by conducting research to include things into my book by gaining knowledge.

I am a Warrior! I conquer! I chose not to stay in victim mode. As a matter of fact I took the word victim out of my vocabulary all together when speaking of myself.

I am a single parent of a very intelligent, beautiful, and remarkable little girl who I am overjoyed to see grow and change from a child into a young adult. I have two cats that own me and a few fish. I tend towards being an introvert and reclusive.

Probably the biggest thing about me is my faith. I am a Christian woman. I take the writings of Jesus and Paul in the New Testament very seriously. I am not to try to convert hearts1. Everyone has things they believe in. It is not for me to judge anyone2. I have been a spiritual problem child and my guardian angel probably has her head in her hands a great majority of the time. With a whole tree in my eye, I will never try to take the splinter from yours. If I quote religious things it is in no way to offend. In life we all come from different life-styles that includes certain belief systems that we hold onto. It is more for you to know where I am coming from as a Christian woman.

I also need to add when telling my story with some of the events in my life, in no way do I mean to trash or tarnish the reputations of others. I am hoping to share as much of myself as is needed to help. However, if there is a certain occurrence that has taken place, if I can not word it without trashing someone I will leave it out all together. This is meant to be an inspiring book. For me to trash others would not only defeat the purpose, it would also mean I'm not taking care of my mental and emotional self. The goal is to heal.

I hope you enjoy reading this. I hope you can find some comfort knowing you are not alone. Knowledge is power so it is my aim you come out from reading this book empowered with some tools you need and can put into practice so that you too can become A BPD WARRIOR!

With warmest regards,
Marie A Di Mauro
